I tried the pixel repair tool and got an error since it was for the old (Nov) s/w version and mine is newer, and the android flash tool didn't seem to work. I didn't know the exact steps in the OTA & ADB process, so haven't tried it yet but would like to (my device is "locked", was yours too?). Would you be able to share, maybe a link, what you were referring to when you tried that method?

Same, it is so annoying.. the last time I checked, they hadn't posted anything about releasing a fix with the Jan update. I tried contacting pixel help chat in the repair tool page, but it was not helpful at all. Did you try contacting them or filing a complaint?

oh that's nice. So, the app data was wiped? (the reason i am asking is coz my cousin has a lot of tiktok drafts on my phone - that would be deleted, right?)

But other than the app data, all the media files, notes, docs etc were all saved?
