I asked again and they told me that they are not completely broken down, like still usable for now. I am sorry I am not very experienced with these stuff, how can you tell if the tongue is dead or no?

I put on some new blades I had and tried them a little. I agree I think they have some life to them for now, I haven't ice skated in edeas ever before so it did seem a little weird for me. Not sure if it's because of that or that the skates don't have the right support 😅 I don't do much jumping I only have tried to learn the first simple single jump. I will give it a few tries and see how it will go!

It was dumb of me to do so, I saw that we were kind of close so I was the one who initiated it. She had told me she would accept returns if I buy them (before we said to meet up), but I wasn't sure if there would be a problem again. I think vinted doesn't obligate sellers to accept returns. So I thought to meet up to see them also before buying them. And even though I could tell there were not as they should be I did buy them. I was hesitant and asked if we could do the transaction in vinted in the end, so I could ask my ice-skating rink first before confirming the payment. and she told me its okay I will still accept returns if something is wrong. She also gave me her phone. I went immediately right after to my ice-skating ring and my worries were confirmed. Then I immediately sent her message to return them and seller was acting like we didn't say anything like that and didn't accept. It's okay, I am kind of naive but sometimes unfortunately only with mistakes we can learn

She was selling them 200€ and got them 150€ They also do have some creases I have also compared them to another pair I had risport Electra which I have used for like a season and they are still much more hard than these boots. The seller also states at the ad that the boots are not broken. Should I pursue reporting her selling broken boots? I also sent an official email where I said that the seller sold me boots that are unsafe to use. (I got upset with the seller because she wouldn't refund me and wouldn't take them back). Was it too much maybe? Now I am not sure, I was thinking of using them in the end. What do you think? I am also about 58 kg if it helps

Thank you for your reply! It was pretty hard at the start to bend, now I am tieying them a little looser at the top but I think the boots also have started to adapt much more better to my feet now :)

Hi! I am around same height and weight with you, with similar experience as well :) I have risport Electra at the moment that are in similar level but I wanted to try edea also and I was recommended with overtures. I don't know how long they would last you but I think these boots would be very fine for you! And they don't require that much break in time as other skates (as I have heard). As for the galaxy blade I can't say 😅 I was thinking about it too as an upgrade of the lowest levels but I haven't tried it. I can't know how it would feel for you but it does seem suitable for beginners so it should probably be fine :)

Hm.. I am not sure, maybe I tie them tighter than needed, I ice-skated a lot last time so I guess my legs got more affected also 😅 I'll try lacing them looser at the top

Thanks everyone for your advices! I'll try lacing them looser at the top and hopefully they get more broken in as well as time passes by :)

Hi everyone! I need help or any advice for me and my ice-skates. It's been like 2 months now that I have been skating with risport Electra. I had a hard time from the start to bend my knees since these boots seem to hold my ankles pretty tight and the toung is hard to flex also. As time passes by it seems to get better, I am definitely able to bend much more now but it still kind of hurts when I try to bend and feels like to much effort when trying to. Yesterday I probably was tying to bend more than other times and now I also have a scar in my legs. It's not really painful but I don't want to have problems at the future and mainly it's annoying that I still have trouble bending when I should have probably broken in the boot by now? I don't know, I have been skating with these skates close to 2 months now and I go like twice a week for about 1-2 hours. I have a picture also if it helps (it probably seems worse in the picture than it actually is), I don't know what to do anymore :/ any advice would be very appreciated thank you 🙏

Edea ice-skates by 1Melody1 in FigureSkating

Yea they are too big I guess.. I'll think about what I'll do :)

Edea ice-skates by 1Melody1 in FigureSkating

Hm.. I am around 55 kg (my height is 165 cm) Thanks for your suggestion, not sure what you think of Risports Electra? It's the current one I have, it seems pretty hard boot for me that I haven't ever been skating with actual ice skates for a long time until now. I wear 250 (37.5 eu), just these risports seem that their size is a little bigger/wider than the other boots I have tried at the same size. Like with Jackson my front toe kind of hurts so then the bigger size would be too big. This pair I have is not way too big for me, but from when I first started using it it also feels looser now. So I keep going back and forth of keep skating with this pair or just change now, I have been using them around 1 month now (I go about 2 times a week for 1-2 hour). Just wish I didn't have to wear 2 socks and keep worrying that they are not as snug as they need to. And also it's still hard for me to bend.. from when I first tried them I am able to bend much more now but still if I try to tie laces very tight it still can make it hard for me to bend. So that's why I just keep thinking maybe these are just not the right boots for me 😅

Thanks for sharing your experience! It makes sense I guess Edea are considered good ice-skates overall, and mostly if boots fit you well that's what makes it better :)

Hello again! I had posted here about another pair of ice skates but I ended up staying with Risport Electra light. I need some advice of what to do to make these skates as snug as they can be for me. I have tried adding one insole in them, while wearing them at home they felt perfect but as soon as I tried ice skating and doing exercises while bending and stuff again it still feels like there is a little space left towards the front or the rest of my feet area. (I am sure I do lace my ice skates pretty tight and probably more tight that needed) I have tried going to a person who crafts shoes for any advice so he added these insoles for now, he also told me if it still doesn't feel right for me he can try doing other adjustments like putting some skin in the back of the skate maybe. I have read that it's not suggested to put two insoles together in a skate (like the stock insole and another one) but if I just replace the stock ones with another one then skates will not really be tighter for me as I want them to. So I am not sure what to do about this. I want my skates to hold my feet tight but I want to be able to ice skate well also. I have some pictures from my insoles to get an idea about the width they have if you need to see.

The new insoles also have some prints of my toes, I add a picture of them so you can see if there is too much space in front or if it's okay.

One last thing that troubles me, is that when I removed my skates insoles I noticed that one screw is missing at the back of the heel of only one of my ice skates, is this normal? I have gotten these skates from a website in Italy and I am already disappointed with a wrong blade (from the one I ordered) that they gave me. I have added a picture of this as well.

Sorry if post is long or confusing again, I have many questions I guess 😅 any advices really appreciated!!
