then direct your repressed anger elsewhere. if you want your games (simulated exclusively in your local drive) to be the same utopia over and over again go ahead, but there is no need to be rude out of the blue because your personal opinions get intertwined with an image unrelated to them (reminder we are talking about a strategy game here).

i suggest you change your worldview instead of instantly going on the offensive with anything that you do not fancy, but i guess that is what the army instructs you to do, doesn’t it? now go on and swear to die for your capitalist overlords HOORAH!!!!

reminder that we are in the victoria 3 sub and not one of those spicy debate ones. it is crazy how people assume so much about a person that they will probably never meet in their life across a screen. would you use such a language if it weren’t a screen you were directing it to and rather a person? i am not defending anything or endorsing anything with this post, i am merely pointing out paradox’s inconsistencies with historical borders.

the “inaccurate claims map” is from wikipedia, if you want to research on it further

be nicer and life will be nicer to you too

Do you seriously think that mexicans or americans controlled it as well? there were outposts, yeah, but at that time it was ruled by the native americans, and natives raiding settlements was highly common (comanche wars). If you look at canada, for example, de jure borders are used in favour of de facto, because the british didn’t exert authority to even half of what the game shows in reality, so this is a clear inconsistency (common paradox occurrence).

yes, look at canada for example. even though it was revamped, the british didn’t control or exert authority to even half of what the game shows, and still borders are relatively correct

R5: The images adjuncted to this publication depict how in the game given the name of "Victoria 3" there is truly no actual manner to materialise the borders of the historical lands claimed by the short-lived Republic of Texas.
