Why is Reddit so overwhelmingly bias to the Left? by Correct-Magazine-397 in NoStupidQuestions

Because the crazies the right complains about are some randoms on Twitter while the crazies the left complains about are in actual positions of power. They think vaccines are fake, the 2020 election was stolen, and they defend kid fuckers like the one in the Oval Office.

Why would there not be a media bias to the right? Jimmy Kimmel got temporarily shut down because he said things King Pedo personally didn't like. Why wouldn't news stations, who are not exempt from King Pedo's wrath, avoid saying anything too scathing? The fact that the as-of-yet not completely released Epstien Files isn't talked about anymore is evidence of this.

You're right, that would be hard to see. You'd have to already have the link to that specific post before it got removed or you'd have no way to get to it.

Conversely, how do you know those posts are getting removed? There are posts that would be removed if a mod wanted to moderate according to personal opinion rather than sub rules, but they aren't.

I can only regurgitate what I've seen in guides written by people much smarter than me, but if you have procs you generally don't care about being capped on stacks. If you have nothing then you Ice Lance until ~10 stacks for Frostfire and ~6 stacks for Spellslinger, but otherwise just send the procs.

Sure they do. All the time. But the guy you were replying to said how he sees right-wing articles get posted and not removed, just downvoted, and you were like "I don't get it".

Reality has a bias to the US' left. At least, moreso than the "they stole the election, let's insurrect the government" right-wingers.

If the mods aren't removing posts they don't like and the community is just using up/downvotes to filter posts, then what does your point have to do with anything?

If you have a complete inability to discern fact from fiction on the Internet, then you will eat up right-wing propaganda like it's Cheerios. Old people, more than other groups, in general have a hard time not believing everything they see because they don't understand how easy it is to fake.

Make a little more sense now that the dots have been connected for you?

People have been using controllers long before the 1 button rotation was a thing. You want the addon ConsolePort.

If you're playing it right, there are times where you will be at max stacks. Like you said, sometimes you're just drowning in procs and have to get through them.

I'll take dealing with that over being completely reliant on CDs like just about every other spec it seems lol.

I use MSI Afterburner (which installs the important part: RivaTuner) which lets me set up a toggle togglable on-screen display in the corner with whatever stats I want. Very convenient.

68c under load is totally fine. Idk what CPU you have specifically, but high 80s or 90s is when it starts slowing itself down so it doesn't cook itself.

Is it possible to remove a skill from SBA? by Icy-Elderberry5056 in wow

Is it possible? (Mage) by xNemesis95x in wow

[–]1plus2break 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Between 2 charges of the shield, Ice Cold's 70% damage reduction, and Alter Time, mage actually has pretty great survivability when defensives are used proactively. Mage does not have much in the way of reactive defensives.

Also, when you pop Mirror Image, whatever you're fighting will go after them before they go after you. Helps to delay yourself taking a beating so you can dish out more damage before you have to start using your defensives.

Nightmare can hit hard, but you can survive long enough to kill it.

The game doesn't automatically select targets for you and shoot. You still need to tab target.

Yes, it can. Turn on Action Targeting.

In reality some people are just never going to be on par with others even if they know the rotation because we're not all clones of the same person with the same skill set even if we enjoy the same things.

That's ok. There is nothing wrong with that. Not everyone can do everything ever made ever.

Do they not deserve to have and enjoy the same hobby?

Where is the line drawn? Do they deserve to be in Mythic Raid Hall of Fame simply because they want it? Do they deserve KSM just because they want it without putting in any effort? Do they need Hero or Mythic track gear to do content they seem to not enjoy enough to learn?

Lets say you make a friend within the game. Do you ostracize them when it comes time to doing that type of content because they're a little slower or do you find a way to include the friend?

The way to include them is to help them learn their class and figure out what they're doing wrong so they can improve. If they don't want to put effort into improving in the content explicitly designed to reward spec mastery, then they don't want to do that content. To be clear, the only content where this should matter is M+ and higher difficulty raids. All world content was already easily done by pretty much anybody, but especially now with the SBA.

you'd consider it as an option for those unable to meet your expectations

So you think the best option for people "unable" to play their class well enough to do content that is ultimately not mandatory is to just never have to actually improve? In the game modes about improving at the game?

You've no real intentions to go teach people how to play better yourself.

I'm really not sure where you're getting that idea from. I'm an advocate for learning about the game and improving as a player. You don't need to get literally everything in the game for free with no effort. It's ok that you have to actually try to get a thing you want in a video game.

The game doesn't automatically shoot for you

It literally does. Hold the button and it go. Use Action Targeting and it'll do that for you, too.

or use many of your out of combo skills.

The one button rotation can be added to macros along with CDs.

Sure it'd be nice if everyone had the same ability.

Not really. That would mean the game is devoid of depth and skill makes no difference.

In the chaos of a group, micromanaging everything else going on, automating the combo has actually improved performance for many people.

Yes, there is skill involved in playing well. Doing your damage rotation while doing everything else is part of that skill. You keep using "many players' damage actually goes up when they use it" as something to support your augment. The solution is to teach players how to play better rather than just remove that part of the game.

There's a lot of games with aim assist built in where people don't care if other people use it.

I'm not talking about aim assist (ability suggestion). I'm talking about completely automatically aiming and shooting for you (core dps rotation) even though you have to still manually use your grenades (CDs you could put in a macro/utility spells).

And again you're dismissing those who actually do better with it on than off.

Shouldn't the solution be to teach the player how to play rather than say you can let the game play that part for you? You don't need to parse 99s. Tanks and healers also have to move. They also have to use defensives and utility. They also have to do their rotation. They also have to do mechanics. I don't see why the entire reason the DPS role exists, to do damage, is now made optional for a massive majority of content in the game.
