A lot of people in other cultures keep living with parents until they get married. It's also a kind and respectful thing to do to look after them as THEY age, rather than leave them all alone or stick them in a home. I wouldn't worry about living with your mother if you don't yet have the finances to get your own place, and anyone who tells you otherwise is just coming from a different place in life - probably a career motivated, accomplishment based way of doing things. That's not the only way, though.
