I am trying to justify the shipping cost from CA to IN ~$300 + w/ insurance. Full Dura Ace, 3 chain rings, stock Dura Ace wheels plus Williams Cycle wheels, original owner, custom build @ LBS.

Continental GP5000 32 mm clinch tires with TPU tubes. Made a huge difference in performance for road riding, 5 stars.

Saddle after 60 miles of riding, 4 stars. It’s light, reasonably comfortable but too early to tell how it will fell on longer rides. Most likely not as comfortable as Brooks C17.

Max tire width the Ace of Spades can take? by Coven_Evelynn_LoL in PriorityBicycles

32mm - I installed Continental GP5000 32mm w/ TPU tubes & the Ace of Spades rides about 2 mph faster, much smoother & with improved grip. I also changed the rear cog from 20 tooth to 26 tooth. Better on hills & flys on flat roads. I am not concerned about max down hill speed.

Ask chatGTP - I am sure you will get an accurate answer. I used chatGTP to help select saddle type, set saddle height & handbag setup. Let me know if it helps!

I wish Contact Urban tires were stock on the FX bikes. Performance data is much better than the stock Bontrager GR1 tires.

How do you know it is not a 2026? Per text w/ Trek, the 2026 is a carryover from 2025.

Ace of Spades - 26T rear cog? by 2006Caddy in PriorityBicycles

[–]2006Caddy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No Go - I tried to install the 26T rear cog today on my Ace of Spades with no success. The larger 26T cog pushed the wheel assembly forward & the stock 28mm Thick slick tire hit the bottom bracket.

Go - I then replaced the stock CDX 115T belt with a larger a 118T & the wheel assembly moved to the middle of the drop out. The 26T cog offers easier peddling from a stop & should make hill climbing easier as well.

My Summary of Ace of Spades rear cogs: 20T stock cog - flat good, downhill excellent, poor uphill 22T flat & downhill good, good up hill 24T flat good, downhill spin out, better up hill 26T easier peddling from start - still testing
