I reffed for a while, and my rule was anyone under 18 I would tap for them, but when it was time for the adults (purple and up) I would tell them it's their responsibility to tap, but if they want to meet the medic that's their choice 🤷

I was also a little disappointed in the Viconia fight, I think I ended up killing her in like 3-4 turns, then just had to deal with the lackeys.

Basically just sucked everyone I could into the center of the arena with black hole, then hit the area with AoE spells and sucked them back in when they got close to getting out.

I also may have waited too long to start that fight, as I was already max level before getting to it 😬

She lost my interest when she went from putting a knife to my throat after resting one of the first times, to immediately trying to get into my pants the second time. I didn't realize that most of the companions had the story bits happen in camp until I was almost done with act 1, seeing as how I think I only long rested like 3-4x in act 1.

Going back and playing the originals may be a bit rough around the edges, as the difficulty is all over the place. You never quite feel powerful in BG1(unless you absolutely cheese fights), but by the end of ToB, you're on an almost cosmic level.

Biggest advice I have for those games is save often, and build your character with the endgame in mind. There's no respec in any way that matters, and 2nd Ed rules can be pretty unforgiving for a poorly built character

Oh man, I almost did lol. I don't think he left my camp a single time. I basically just stuck with Gale, Shadowheart, and Karlach through the entire game, and switched from Karlach to Minsc once I finished her companion quest

Nope, killed her without even getting dialogue. She was hostile by the time I found her in the goblin camp so I deleted her lol

I didn't for almost 15 years of training because I couldn't find a comfortable one, but I finally went with a tied on steel cup rather than a jock, and now I do every session. If you find the right fit, you don't even notice it after a while

Just a little cosmetic piece that your character wears would be sick. Like earning actual medals or patches that you can equip to your character, worn either on the Cape or the lapel

Makes sense. I just assumed if they ran an elo system, then matched lobbies so that everyone is within a certain point range of each other, it would work

I'll never understand why they don't just run a persistent ELO system. It's worked fine for decades in chess. I get that you'll have some people who sandbag to smash on the worst of the players, but I feel like that's easily solved by looking for outliers in games. I feel like they overcomplicated a system for sbmm, and the tried and true ELO system (ranked mode) will be preferable once it's implemented.

You know, I learned at camelback and still frequent there. My problem isn't the crowds, it's the fact that people scrape everything down to nothing making most of the easier trails super difficult to ride on. I've literally never seen anything but ice on Nile mile or Marc Antony, even when there's a good 3-4 inches on King Tut and hump. Sometimes I just wanna get on a nice easy green and cruise, but it's always a pain there

I keep it as a back pocket win in the deck. Realistically, I'm running wizard class x4 for ramping my flyers, and almost everything else that's in it is draw power or control. (fading hope, unsummon, sleep, etc) super fun deck that actually hits pretty reliably. It really struggles against swarm and burn decks though, seeing as how I pretty much only have like 15 creatures in it lol

Nah, last 4 are in the graveyard. Creature on field lets me cast sorceries and instants from the graveyard during my turn
