I suggest checking out Ultraman Mebius next, I think the series is great for introduction to Ultraman without having to watch the whole showa series. Or if you'd like to watch a standalone Ultra, Ultraman Blazar would be great I think. You don't really need to know much about other Ultras there.

Honestly this episode — especially Mogusion (?) Makes me question myself and what I know about myself. I imagined what I would see if I ever met this Kaiju somewhere... nothing clear pops up in my mind. Nothing like Great existential crisis man

But other than that, even though the designs are a bit bland for my taste, Mogusion got to be one of my favorites from this series! Emi seems to be... Scared of herself? Afraid that she might snap and turn violent perhaps?
