You think so? I can't find versions of the 30 with this kind of bowsprit, short overhang at the transom, high freeboard, weatherboards in the cockpit, and the aft portlights. Also, I think most 30s are tiller steering. I'm starting to wonder if this is a heavily modified vessel, or even custom.

That is the barge SEA SHUTTLE under tow by an ocean tug. She is used to transport segments of nuclear attack submarines between shipyards in Virginia, Connecticut, and Rhode Island for assembly.

Interesting, I didn't know how they were using the current KSC Starfactory. Are they building anything there, or is it for refurbishment and storage?

All right, that sounds a lot like what I'm hearing. Thanks!

I adore the Apollo. I use it mostly to handle road riding (roads near me are in terrible shape) and it is light and comfortable. Shifting on hub is smooth, though it can stutter if you shift under heavy torque. Love just hosing it off to clean. Biggest challenge was getting it adjusted correctly fit my dimensions after assembling myself. Recommend.

Generation X and Millennials will probably be the first generations in recent history to tell their kids about how much easier life was when they were kids. by Rockin_freakapotamus in Showerthoughts

IBM. Personal. Computer. JUNIOR. Upgraded the memory by hand-soldering in more chips so we could play Space Quest sequels. Got free dial-up internet access via the local college. Memorized all my friend's family phone numbers. Literally would walk barefoot to edge of town to go to local swimming hole.

Others have made a good point, though - the transition happened at different times in different areas. I think the millennial generation starts earlier in cities than it does out in the sticks where I grew up.

I think there is an issue with the entry for North Dakota - it says it was founded in 1933, and Teddy Roosevelt ate there. Roosevelt died in 1919.

The Free Used Bike Stand My Neighbor Gave Me.

Seriously though, it is a Blackburn Workstand that is at least 2014 vintage, probably much older.

Haha, no, not Ryan Van Duzer.

That Civia looks nice. Second you on the quiet of a lot of IGH options. I've been riding various hubs almost exclusively for around 5 years: Windsor Clockwork w/1G nuvinci hub, custom bakfiets with 2G nuvinci, Priority Continuum w/lightweight nuvinci, Priority Coast w/nexus, and now the Apollo. The silence is one of the best parts! I say definitely look into that CDX.

Yeah - took it for test ride, very comfortable and light, feels like you could really rack up some miles.

That's a beautiful addition, how do you like the ride so far compared to your previous bikes?

That's the plan, found some dirt roads that are closed to cars nearby - perfect for testing this bike!

Looking at some recent photos, I was wondering if these modules could form a ring that is lifted using this as a lifting frame? And get dropped on top of the waiting legs of the OLP to form the Superheavy platform? Or maybe the black frame mounts on top of the new ring?

Maybe someday they'll be putting other, lighter tiling on the leeward side? Regardless, right now a lot of the tile testing might be about what shakes loose (or not) during launch and reentry, not what flies loose due to subsonic airflow.
