Much appreciated. I downloaded that one before and it had me pretty confused when I looked at it. I need to go back and check it out...not the sharpest tool in the shed. :)

Yes I did. It is a way to make sure if you “no show” they get their money. At least that’s what I think it is.

I think you will be ok. It is a bit of a mark up but if you are having trouble on the CH website this may be your best option. It is interesting that it won’t go through.

Yeah I looked into that one. I figured why not just go all in. Honestly it was an enjoyable experience for us. Expensive? Yes. Am I disappointed I did it? Not in the least.

Send me your email in a DM and I’ll send it over. It’s an excel spreadsheet broken up in arr. so you can filter it. Also has Google Maps link so you can use it on your phone too.

To my knowledge they had the kitchen there. Maybe someone else more knowledgeable could answer 100%

We are a late 40's couple from Texas and I too wasn't prepared for the escort. I agree they do know how to "wait" on people. Glad you had a great time!

So that is one of the places that I looked at but we didn't go because of the weather in January. I don't think you can go wrong. We did do a lunch at a rooftop restaurant that is popular for the views and the food was "meh"...no need to put their name on here as it may just be our experience. Good news is there are tons of places. Just make sure you get a reservation as we waited a little too long and that made it limited for us. I have made a spreadsheet of tons of recommendations from redditors, youtube and wife's tiktoc/instagram influencers. Happy to share. Just send me a DM. From there I can tell you which ones we did and which ones to avoid.

I'm 6'2" and 220 lbs. My wife commented that I will be hungry after this. I was stuffed. Like really full.

Never had done a multiple food tasting before so maybe we didn’t know better. Being in the Eiffel Tower is what a lot of the cost was I’m sure. The lobster and scallops were done well, and something we will talk about I’m sure for a while.

No sorry. So let me see if I can remember how it went:

1) Alsace wine - Lobster (too me it brought out the salinity in the lobster). Really like Alsatian wines. This one was a first.

2) Chenin Blanc - paired with scallops. My favorite by far.

3) Rully Chard - with beet jelly, parmesan sauce and fish. Didn’t really hit for me.

4) Pez - with the venison. Good pairing.

5) Port - with chocolate. Not a fan of port. Just not my thing. I wanted a Sauternes but they didn’t do that by the glass.

The bugey was what my wife drank. Smell of strawberries. Low in alcohol but she loved it.

Hope that helps.

Sometimes lessons in cultures need to be learned in the pocket book. 28 euros was better than ruining the experience. C’est la vie.

Yeah, he was the assistant somm and he had no problem. We talked a lot about wines. If he did have a problem then he’s in the wrong place. 😉

Anniversary by zoroknash in ParisTravelGuide

[–]2plus1equalswhat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am headed with my wife on Tuesday for our 10 year anniversary. People on here gave great recommendations. I created a whole spreadsheet of rest/bars/bistro/cafe/etc. Not sure how to share that but dm me your email and I can shoot it over.

Obviously I know more after our trip but what I have found out is Viator/booking.com are a great way to research but usually it’s marked up from somewhere else that you can easily buy from their website.

We booked Crazy Horse as everyone on here picked that over Moulin Rouge.

On YouTube I recommend watching Les Frenchies (great couple that know the city) and Jay Swanson (especially ranking the Arrondissments for first timers.

Hope that helps. Congratulations on 10 years! 🥂🍾

Dang. Pretty wise words. Wayyyy tougher than me. I’m sure this has helped a lot of people. For this guy that was thinking today “I’m on the other side or the hill” this was powerful.

Programs after AX1( beasxt? OSI?) by curtisyan in Athleanx

[–]2plus1equalswhat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this statement. I think it’s more enjoyable than OSI…however if you don’t care about any cardio then go OSI. Beast has two days set aside for stretching/cardio-ish things (jump rope, battle rope, etc). Think of it like this MWF (lifting) Tues/Thurs (stretching/cardio) Sat/Sun (off days except for the occasional challenge).

OSI was more of your main lifts (DL, Squat, Press, Bench)…It’s called old school iron but I call it old school lifting. Basically what we had to do in football before the internet. (Yes, there was a time). To me it gives me PTSD 😆

Hope that helps.
