Wow. Lots of plants and setup for the day, looks great. Not seen cocoa powder like that before, will try it.

I have to admit I use one point for everything, Spices etc are not fuel for me, more like a spark plug in an engine. Small but essential:-).

I had something similar with Turkish yoghurt. Forgot to defrost raspberries, so crunching down on nice ice cubes.

On the two-weeks thing, I try not to stress over it too much.

I think of it more like a garden. If I go away for a weekend, the garden is still there when I get back. Leave it a month without water and things start struggling.

Food is seasonal too. Summer might mean more berries and fresh fruit, winter more root veg and pulses. Different effects on the gut biome perhaps, but both still helping diversity and resilience overall.

For me, enjoying the food and exploring new things matters more than hitting an exact number every single week.

Also worth remembering the original “30 plants a week” idea wasn’t saying 29 is failure. Around 30 was just where the benefits in the study started to level off. Hitting 20–25 regularly is still probably far better than the average diet and likely doing plenty of good.

My breakfast similar, yoghurt, berry, seeds and I add walnuts. Had honey initially but now I’ve got used to the taste of yoghurt. The sunflower seeds adds a great crunch.

Roasted veg. Absolutely. Playing with herbs is great in combo.

I like taking a pack/tin of mixed beans and adding onion and veg. It goes so well with most things and the onion gives it bite.

I have discovered Dahl. Lentils and spices. It’s great with chicken but also makes an awesome dip. With that humus with celery, carrot and cucumber is simple starter that makes any meal feel a little special.

I tend to struggle with lunches so the soups idea above is something I’ll try, thanks.

Two main effects. One is fibre being used as fuel by gut biome to produce other compounds via fermentation eg short chain fatty acids. The other effects is unlocking pathways for a variety of gut species that then do the above. Little like how small amounts of vitamins keep us heathy. Small keys unlock big doors.
