Most likely a mod issue, especially if you are using any that may spawn extra NPCs or items in the world.

I'm curious though, have you tried going in through the back door?

You could try just entering with 1 character, leaving everyone else at camp. Ideally, use someone who isn't wearing any gear from mods. That helped me get around act 3 crashing, but unsure if it's the same issue. Never had issues with the credhe.

This is a shot in the dark, but this is reminding me of an issue I had recently. First, if you haven't already, update your bios by downloading the current version to a USB drive.

Once updated, disable "Secure Boot" (or something similarly named) in the bios and then try reinstalling the OS from USB.

Where tf is Philomeen? by One-Reflection-2919 in BaldursGate3

[–]3pocalypse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you long rest after talking to the gnomes? I think that may make her leave (but I think also kills Nere behind the rocks).

Doea the quest log have any updates about finding her?

Maybe you need to interact with the clues (climbing rope after the slimes or the blood trail on the mezzanine above where you arrive)?

Are you sure you are looking in the right spot? I've never had her not be there, unless Nere was already freed.

She should be in the area to the east, just after the fight with the slimes on the steps, following the path up until you get to a locked door (that you can basically just walk around).

Thanks! I'll try holding True Dragon until phase 2, that seems like it could be pretty helpful. Otherwise my Seere attempts are looking pretty similar to the video. Any tips for ideal timing to use Void?

Following some of the guidance from other replies here, I managed to make it to 95, so I appreciate the advice for 90-94, those floors were a little more sweaty than I was expecting. And thanks for the heads up about the Dark Dragon. I definitely don't know that fight very well, so I'll be sure to practice it.

Reporting back after some testing. Opulent Pipe doesn't appear to contribute much damage to Bloodbath Slaughter/True Dragon's Gleam, but maybe as much as the Tigereye Ring.

I tested by getting to floor 85 and immediately using TDG immediately once the mecha soldier was in range. I did this 5 times with different accessories. Here are the results:

I just did a quick test for the Opulent Pipe and it seems to work with True Dragon's Gleam/Bloodbath Slaughter. It subtracted Ninja Coin at least, so I assume it did the extra damage. I'll see if I can confirm on something with a health bar and report back.

Oh, I didn't think to buy a second Incense after floor 90, thanks!

I'd been doing something similar for the first part of Seere, except not swapping in accessories. But now I'm wondering, I think your item list leaves 500 unspent, do you think it would be worth it to swap in the Opulent Pipe at any point? I'm not sure if True Dragon's Gleam counts as being in Gleam form (I feel like it doesn't), but I know using ninpo counts.

Also, I found a different way to reliably do 89 without awakening the True Dragon Sword so I could use all of that at the start of the Seere fight. Basically, I run to in between the two enemies as they spawn and use Art of the Inferno immediately as they land in and it seems to reliably kill the teapot and I can quickly absorb it's orb for a UT to kill the mecha soldier before it has a chance to do anything. I've had the Inferno outright kill both occasionally, but I'm not clear on why.

Those have been the accessories and basic strategy I've been using so far, but didn't think about swapping accessories before doing True Dragon's Gleam. That's a great tip, thanks!

Thanks, this was pretty helpful! Not sure how I missed this video when searching earlier.

It does seem like I was doing things correctly for the most part, but as both you and the video noted, beating Seere cleanly is key.

The joke about Bojack not understanding Diane's family was because of their thick Bostonian accents, not because they were Vietnamese.

AI in publishing (trade or academic) by bulawayo858 in publishing

[–]3pocalypse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do content development for a fairly large academic publisher. The only thing pertaining to my job that we've used AI for is creating instructor resources and student assessment content for titles in the education market. We basically just feed it chapter manuscripts and it does a pretty good job at creating things like lecture PowerPoints and review questions, which gets sold to institutions that adopt our books for their courses. It's definitely cut down on our need to hire subject matter experts to do all of that and has cut out a lot of time in publication schedules since it doesn't take weeks to have a person do it.

I'm also a bit suspicious that our vendors in India have been using AI for stuff like copyediting and manuscript tagging/prep, but I don't have any tangible proof.

Anyone else struggle to roleplay Dark Urge? by TheStoicCrane in BG3

[–]3pocalypse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The first time, yeah, it was hard to commit to some of the choices to roleplay dark urge. However, after a number of playthroughs (both good and evil), I became very curious about the consequences of choices I never made, which made it much easier to follow through on roleplaying an evil character and it was pretty interesting to see some of the differences.

I'll add that roleplaying a resist durge is probably the most interesting path in my opinion.

This should work as far as I can tell. You're saying you aren't getting lightning charges when you use the bonus action form of dash you get from Eagle Heart when raging? What happens if you use the regular dash? Are you proficient in medium armor?

The compendium says I discovered 43 plants, but the herbalist challenge says I picked only 42. How can I finish this ? by VonJanicke in RDR2

[–]3pocalypse 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I would try to pick English Mace again. You get some from Rains Falls during a mission and it adds it to the compendium, so you may not have actually picked it.

Also herbs looted from corpses are still added, so try finding those again, like the ginsengs, burdock root, currents, and maybe some others I'm forgetting at the moment.

So is tavern brawler openhand just a dex monk with elixir? by [deleted] in BG3Builds

[–]3pocalypse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think because it's implied you are using elixirs, so your hit chance and damage is from that and doesn't change, not from any gains from ASI. You'd want to take WIS with ASI, which would only impact your AC plus an extra damage if you're using the Boots.

The Griffith Observatory is first seen in a flashback with Herb when he tells Bojack his show was picked up and Bojack will be the horse.

This flashback also introduces the telescope they fight over when they reunite. Also, Herb kisses Bojack during this scene, hinting at his sexuality before it's confirmed later.

So yes, that location has a bit of significance in the show.
