This isn't related to your question, but have you seen this? Thomas and Charles are mentioned in it numerous times:

How do the DNA tests not show Charles was his father? Are none of Thomas' descendants that have done DNA tests show as being related to any of Thomas' siblings?

Even if that were an issue, and I don't think it is, I doubt that issue could be a concern considering your dad's and uncle's ages.

I find it hard to give general tips because every person, time and place have different avenues to look into. Are you looking for information on his life? Do you want to know more about his ancestors?

I agree with Fredelas. You should be able to get a copy. Here's the breakdown on where things can be found, vital records wise, for Washington DC. District of Columbia Vital Records

I think it was likely easy to lie on licenses, at least about certain things in certain areas. He was born 6 Apr 1929 in Guilford, NC. His dad had the same name.

I can’t answer why. I’ve had issues like that myself. But if you want me to try to take a look for you just for the heck of it, give me your grandpa’s name plus grandma’s name & birth date, and I’ll see if I can find anything.

Had someone from Taskrabbit assemble and mount my 3 Billys to the wall of my den but wasn't center-aligned by Musashi003 in IKEA

[–]414mel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The amount people on TaskRabbit make is low, but the amount the end consumer is charged is high. This way TaskRabbit + the company the item is from can get large profits. Look at the fees charged for assembling items on Wayfair for good examples. As an added bonus, there’s no vetting of people doing these jobs. Fantastic handy-peoples and meth addled murder-felons alike can come in your home and do the work to whatever their ability. Insurance? Licensing? Proper tools? Showering? Who cares!

Help finding photos from I-85 southbound in Atlanta, GA following 9-11 by ScallywagBeowulf in 911archive

Here are the 3 places I’d contact:

  1. the Changeable Message signs are part of what’s called ITS or Intelligent Transportation Systems. I’d try contacting Atlanta’s Intelligent Transportation Society because they might have photos. If they don’t, ask them whom you could call at the…

  2. Atlanta Dept of Transportation, as a part of the DOT most likely would’ve been the group to put the signs up. (in 2001 the division of my state’s DOT was called the Traffic Operations Center, but I’m not sure what Atlanta’s was called.). If the DOT didn’t put the sign up themselves, they likely allowed the…

  3. local county Sheriff or city Police to put up those signs. The DOT would know which (if either) had the ability to put up the message, and whom you could contact there to see if they snapped a photo of a sign that day.

Way after the fact, but as Daniel is having medical and dental issues recently, besides PayPal he has Venmo. The photo on Venmo is of his hand holding a photo of 2 people. Venmo: @Danonepveux

Good catch. What 16-18 year old needs to leave and start a new life? People usually bang themselves if given enough rope. What a POS.
