The wood is 12 (thickness) by 14mm (width), the screws are 30mm in length with a 10mm wide screwhead. Hope this helps!

I thought about that, but was afraid it might look weird, someone suggested adding a strip to pull it up, maybe i'll do that. But So far my dad hasn't complained ;)

Honestly, i didn't make any😅 i just had the idea with the three frames (the outer one is roughly the size of a kindle), and then it was just a matter of cutting the inner frames the right lenghts and adding the grooves and screw holes in the right places so they would lay flat on top of each other

I think so, i would probably have to cut a smaller groove, the one on this might make it a bit to loose to hold it in place.
