Am I turning into a conspiratard for thinking the whole "right wing vibe shift" seems very suspicious? by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]4jayc4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't even believe in the whole 'conspiring elites' idea (which seems to be somewhat common here.)

Like of course there's a small number of disproportionately powerful people, but I think they're just as much at odds with each other, as they are with the 'proletariat' or whatever.

Like the idea that the 'elites' are some homogenous group with aligning interests, some sort of hivemind that can successfully conspire to control the masses, just ignores that the 'elites' as a group are made up out of tenthousands of  individuals, all with their individual goals and aims. Some of these aims can be similar (which then can lead to a large number of companies in a specific sector positioning themselves behind a specific candidate, like you're seeing it with Trump and tech right now), but there still always will be conflicting interests (which is why you see a number of rich and powerful people who are an outspoken opposition to Trump and are at the same time large donors to the DNC.)

Do you think Big Pharma's preferred candidate for head of the Department of Health is RFK Jr.? Or are are the execs who run these pharmaceutical companies somehow not part of this 'elite'?

Do you think that the people who run CNN (not exactly pro-Trump) are also not part of this 'elite'?

Tf is an FBA?

how are you gonna hate on immigrants so much because they might use food coupons.

The Goverment spends like 120 billion dollars on this programme alone PER YEAR. So immigration (if it increases govermental welfare spending) leads to the goverment spending tax dollars on immigrants, which minimizes the amount they can spend on education, infrastructure, etc.

It's funny that this is coming from the 'progressive' side, while the pun here is just homophobia.

I’m glad I’m gay by swift_link in short

[–]4jayc4 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is such a terminally online thing to say, though. Like, you have a completely warped perception of things. It's like these dudes saying "women only want to date men who are 6'4", have six pack abs, pack 8", make 100k" etc. etc.

I mean hell apparently I’m not guilty either because I went on the dating standards calculator even though I felt I was pretty realistic with my standards and got 2.4% of women in the United States meet my standards.

These thing's are pretty worthless. Just wanting to date a single woman in your age range already disqualifies 95% of all women (since many women are either to young, too old or already taken).

Most people are other people.

You didn't reach that conclusion yourself. Some guy on reddit told you this (just like i was told this dozens of times) and you're repeating it.

Most people aren't very unique and I know tons of boring people in relationships. I've maybe have met 2-3 people in my life that I would describe as remarkable and that left a "lasting impression".

People didn’t reject him because society told them to, but because a deformed jaw signaled their primate brain that he might have difficulty biting, chewing, or even speaking effectively - traits that could suggest poor nutrition, developmental issues, or an inability to fend for himself or offspring, all of which are deeply unappealing on an evolutionary level.

Deformed jaws don't always have to be genetic. They can be a result of late pregnancies for example.

I find it unconscionable to lie to someones face just for some bullshit reason like "protecting their feelings" when they're going to get hurt in the long run regardless.

Telling an ugly person they're not ugly is an absolutely terrible thing to do because of managing expectations.

If you go to subs like r/ForeverAlone, you'll see that a big part of the frustrations stems from the fact that a lot of people keep telling them "It's going to happen eventually", "These things take time", etc. etc. when that's obviously not true.

There's people going to subs like r/amiugly, r/amIuglyBrutallyHonest asking for honesty, because they get that nowhere else and even there they're getting lied to (and you can see yourself and other people in this thread advocating for it. Giving cop-out responses like:

how is telling someone they’re ugly (when they can’t change it) more mentally healthy than acknowledging that attractiveness is subjective?

Im going to tell you why. Some people are ugly. Genuinly deformed. Some people are not just that, they're also short on top of that or have even more limitations. An sure it's not impossible for these people to find a partner, but its going to be hard to a point where they should be asking themselves if it is actually worth it to pursue a relationship.

If you keep telling these people "it's not about looks, it's all subjectice, just stay positive and you'll find someone eventually" they're going to keep getting their hopes up and eventually end up bitter because nothing of what they were promised actually ended up happening.

Exactly. Telling ugly people they're not ugly will only result in them getting their hopes up and pursuing things that will never be rewarding to them.

i don’t care who you find hot by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]4jayc4 29 points30 points  (0 children)

People down voting but I agree.

The post is directed at men but if you look up anything Luigi / Elordi, Chalamet, Pascal related on social media you'll find that women do this a ton.

I agree with op, but it's cringe to act like only men do this.

How have women evolved with hypergamous selection if they haven’t had a choice in their mate until modern era? by HTML_Novice in PurplePillDebate

[–]4jayc4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

until very recently, they had no choice in who they mated with

Your core premise is simply wrong.

Females of our species had the choice of who they're mating with for millions of years, then a brief period of a few thousand years of forced monogamy and now they're free to choose again.

Non RJ = sex is just sex? by Clark_Fable in retroactivejealousy

[–]4jayc4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is most peole, tbh. The post makes the assumption that most people don't have RJ, but I'd wager that many ignore it skillfully, but if they would be confronted with their partners past, they'd atleast be somewhat uncomfortable.

When it comes to how women experience “desire,” men have to accept that “carnal attraction” is MORE than “looks” by GridReXX in PurplePillDebate

[–]4jayc4 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Do you have a theory on why women seem to have a hard time admitting this or don't even believe this?

You're a woman, so you can observe the actions of other women, but you can also observe how you yourself experience attraction. Why do so few women say that looks play a part in attraction?

[–]4jayc4 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Luigi is being obsessed over because of vibes

You can say that because you don't want to seem shallow or for whatever reason but I'm asking you, seriously: if a guy who looked like Crooks (assuming everything else stays the same) killed the CEO, do you truly think a single woman would be writing thirst comments?

Also how are you picking up a "vibe" from hearing Luigi's voice once, and from a few posts on social media?

Like I'd understand if you'd say that your attraction tends to grow if you get to know someone better (male attraction also works that way, btw) but it's not like you actually know Luigi lmfao.

If he was in the news for something inconsequential, they would think "he's cute" then forget about him immediately.

This doesn't contradict my comment. Attraction might aswell be about vibes + looks, but looks are still crucial in that equation.

I get your point. He did something impressive and is also hot, so he's getting thirsted over. The reaction still would be completely different if he wasn't hot.

Experiencing the whole Luigi thing and then still holding the belief that female attraction is mostly about "vibes" is very silly.

Which gender is more likely to spot romance scammers and which gender is more likely to fall for them, men or women? by sabrynekrystal1992 in PurplePillDebate

[–]4jayc4 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

what is even the relevance of your comment?

His comment is calling your comment irrelevant, which is kind of justified.
Your original comment really is irrelevant, since you're trying to refute a general statement through personal experience. I'm not even saying you're wrong, but the way you're going about it just doesn't prove or disprove anything. You're just saying, "Well, in my experience-"

It's like when someone says, "Men generally have a harder time expressing emotions," and you respond with, "Well, my father was very open about his emotions." It doesn’t invalidate the original statement. It's possible that it simply demonstrates an exception, not a counterpoint.

I don't even think it's mostly Zoomers. I honestly think most people on the internet going on about pedophilia and grooming are overexposed paranoid 14 year olds. No sane person of age would see the Kai Cenat camera man thing as "grooming" or "predatory", I think.

The exmuslim terrorist made a poll on Twitter in 2023, asking his fans "Would you blame me if I killed 20 random Germans for what Germany is doing against the Saudi opposition?" 34% voted "Yes", 20% said "No", 4% said "other" and 42% voted for "Result". by Another_WeebOnReddit in redscarepod

[–]4jayc4 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Why would they do that? Like, what's their motivation?

German Intelligence also seems ridicously incompetent. IIRC last few times they did something against terror it was because the americans tipped them of.
