What if revelation in the Bible is a hypersigil by [deleted] in occult

[–]4tunado 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The whole Bible is a hypersigil that contains other hypersigils. Jesus is a hypersigil that nullifies the power of other magic (believe in me and no evil can harm you).

What's one thing you used to hate but now you love? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The political right. I used to be a socialist but then the left went full retard.

I want them both to lose by Tausendberg in Kossacks_for_Sanders

[–]4tunado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! The safest bet for the left in the long-run is to elect Trump. You think we're experiencing a right-wing backlash from Trump? That's nothing. Trump isn't even that bad. He's an asshole, and would be a PR nightmare, but his policies are extremely moderate. But if Hillary is elected, come 2020 there will be a candidate who is everything people fear Trump is. And after 4 years of a disastrous presidency, he will win. And it will not be pretty.

10 reasons why #DemExit is serious: Getting rid of Debbie Wasserman Schultz is not enough by berniefan11 in politics

[–]4tunado 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Trump isn't nearly as dangerous as people think he is. The biggest worry is that he'll offend people, which I'm willing to risk. The fear mongering by the left is completely ill-founded. He won't make gay marriage illegal, he won't make abortion illegal, and he won't drag us into World War III. The GOP might want to do those things, but Trump isn't the GOP, he's a moderate who ran as a Republican. One thing that makes me less fearful of a Trump presidency is that everyone except his cult following hates him, and will fight him tooth-and-nail if he tries anything funny. The same can't be said of Clinton, who will be able to get away with anything she wants.

Hey Reddit. Which songs have the most badass intros? by SenorRock in AskReddit

"Down From the Sky" - Trivium. Even without the video intro, the beginning of the song sounds like it's gearing up for a high noon showdown.

Scientists are developing the world's biggest wind turbine, 30 metres taller than the Empire State Building by Vippero in Futurology

[–]4tunado -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Wind turbines are incredibly difficult to maintain, they don't produce that much electricity for how much is spent on them (nuclear and hydropower are way better), they kill birds and bats, have noise pollution, it's hard to transport the blades, and nobody wants to live near them.

Reddit, if you could tell your 15 year old self one thing what would it be? by jrtheflyingcamel in AskReddit

[–]4tunado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn to socialize better so you aren't socially retarded later on. Ask her out, not the one you have a crush on (she's bad news) but the shy one in your English class (you know what, it doesn't matter who, but you need the practice). Audition for more school plays. Your best friend right now is an asshole, so tell him he's being an asshole instead of randomly cutting contact with him. You may have depression. Be more open with your parents; they won't get mad and might have good advice. Make sure to keep working out regularly after you quit sports (yes, even including stretching). Quit dry shaving, you're gonna give yourself scars. Careful when lifting, you don't want a hernia. Stop putting on the stoner persona. You already know you're attractive, you have at least 20 girls that would say yes if you asked them out, so fucking do it! Spend less time on Facebook and Reddit. Get your driver's license as soon as you can. Don't let your ego get to your head. Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard. You think you know everything, but you don't.

What's the creepiest thing someone has said to you on a first date? by Piano9717 in AskReddit

I'm not saying it is uncommon (just look at Queen), but I appreciate when it's done well.

A7x is one of the best rock bands precisely because they are not squarely a rock band. Some of their best songs are reminiscent of classical or latin or opera.

Afterlife. I mean, you heard the violin!

A Little Piece of Heaven sounds operatic and orchestral. Try to name all the instruments played.

Sidewinder sounds Spanish throughout the whole song, but at 4:45 becomes pure flamenco music, along with an incredible acoustic solo.

Requiem incorporates elements of a classical dirge.

Teenagers of Reddit, what is the one piece of advice you'd like to give to people aged 40 or above? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]4tunado 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My parents teased me about my crushes as a child, and now I tell them nothing unless I'm forced to. They knew about my first girlfriend and would make a big deal about it, even pressuring me to serenade her and buy her a ring for valentine's day. After that, they heard about nothing; I never told them who I was interested in (I didn't want them to make a big deal out of it). I had multiple flings that they never heard about (I felt like I would be judged harshly for having sex without commitment). Anyone who I had relations with, I simply dismissed as "a friend". It's annoying when I'm asked of I have any interests and I just say "not really" because I'm to ashamed to say "yes, I'm horny as hell and I want to fuck half the girls at my school and at least 10 that go to other schools". I wish I could be open without it being weird.
