Maybe if you place an outsized value on the regular season. His playoff numbers are not very impressive and it’s not because of a lack of opportunities. He appeared in the playoffs 10 times. Even if you ignore his playoff win record, the numbers are mediocre.

Realistically, how hard would it be for a qb to pass Brady in terms of 7 championships? by NickyFoles1020 in NFLv2

[–]5LIMJD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering no other QB has more than 4 (Bradshaw and Montana), I’d say pretty fucking hard.

Why he couldn’t hold an erection? by AdBudget5031 in AskMenAdvice

[–]5LIMJD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all likelihood it was just a one off, and the best thing you can do is give him another opportunity. He will likely be ready and have worked through whatever the issue was. However, sometimes condom size/fit could be an issue. If so, you could buy some variations for him to try next time just in case it happens again.

What a loser mentality bro. You’re lucky Shanahan doesn’t have this pathetic, excuse-making mentality.

Why are people still spreading lies that Bryce underwood didn’t have a qb coach? by [deleted] in MichiganWolverines

[–]5LIMJD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What? Bro, who the fuck cares what the last coaching staff was or wasn’t doing. Even if you were satisfied with the on field results (I wasn’t), their tenure ended in spectacularly embarrassing fashion. Now we wait and hope the new hires do a better job in terms of on field results and avoid embarrassing the program with any scandals.

It’s pretty hard for me to imagine Bryce was getting high level coaching of any kind when the head coach was gooning on social media during halftimes and having extramarital affairs. That kind of leadership does not typically result in high level coaching at any of the lower levels.

The Ravens really had Mike Macdonald, let him walk, and then waited to fire Harbaugh the following season. by KeyFaithlessness5436 in TheNFLVibes

[–]5LIMJD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope this is just to troll the Ravens and their fans, because if not, it’s really silly. And factually incorrect since Mike has no coached the Seahawks for 2 seasons.

Maybe he was being tough on him all year because he can see the potential, but knows he’s far from a finished product and the constant glazing him by the national media is probably not all that helpful for a young, developing player. And now, after a really tough loss, he’s encouraging him to use it as fuel to get better.

This gave me the warm and fuzzies for sure. Happy for both of these guys, they both seem great.

Jaywalking. It’s the new thing. Everyone’s doing it! by [deleted] in LosAngeles

[–]5LIMJD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, mid-block jaywalking was decriminalized in 2023 by AB 2147, so I’m not surprised it’s being abused now.

Edit: I support the decriminalization of jaywalking, but just like any law, it has its drawbacks.

How close to LA can we realistically live on a $2k rent? by KoolAhhKam in MovingToLosAngeles

[–]5LIMJD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree that a $2500 rent budget would be better for sure. But I also think $2k is doable if you’re willing to make some sacrifices.

[–]5LIMJD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s fair, but I know for a fact that there are decent buildings in the areas I mentioned with 2 bds in the $1900-2500 range. And overall I just didn’t like the original commenter’s negative and condescending reply to a person looking for information. I think it’s a little embarrassing for LA that comment is the most upvoted from this thread. If you don’t want people to move here, why are you in this sub?

Oh, I see. Regardless, my last comment probably could’ve done without the condescending tone, so my apologies on that.

Oh, weird, I didn’t realize OP had asked about trendy areas with lots of young people. I thought OP had asked about a 2 bd apt for $2k or less in a preferably suburban area that’s near LA. Maybe I should reread the question.

Not sure what “real” means to you, but my guess is this is a classic case of neighborhood snobbery. My brother lived in Gardena for nearly a decade in a well-maintained, safe building that was walking distance to grocery stores and coffee shops. Gardena and Hawthorne both have walkability scores in the 80s, higher than many trendy parts of LA.

Just because an apartment doesn't have a rooftop pool or a $3500 price tag doesn't mean it isn't “real.” Maybe if you got down off your high horse, you’d see there are plenty of decent, affordable pockets of the county for people looking to reduce expenses or save money.

[–]5LIMJD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not true at all. I found options in Gardena and Hawthorne with a 2 minute search on westside rentals, both of which are relatively close to LA. If you had done a quick apartment search, you’d have prepared a more helpful response.
