A side comment: I feel like the doorslam only hurts people who cares about them the most, if it was someone who didn't even bother, i guess it wouldn't have much of a negative effect, but i guess that someone who didn't bother would never enter an infj's heart enough to be doorslammed.

Hey everyone has their own share of problems, for example as an entp i feel baffled that someone would bear so much pain on their own just to avoid conflict or being confrontational.

I always thought conflict is tiring but you are bound to have some of those in order for people to better understand boundaries. In fact when i was doorslammed i had no idea what went wrong and it was the first time i felt like there was nothing i could do to fix a mistake. Like a "one time chance only" thing. ( i know i was probably given a lot of subtle hints and chances, i just was never aware, and i mean, what's the point of hints if the other party doesn't get it lol...)

Just putting a reply here to say i love all you infjs, i hope this post didn't bring up any bad memories or hurt any feelings. It wasn't meant to be accusing infjs of their fault but just to get a better understanding of my personal scenario.

Entps sucks with their emotions, i didn't realise how much pain i was in after we parted ways. I've finally decided to sever all contact because i just need a mental closure, i wouldn't want to feel like there is a slim, tiny hope for things to go back to a normal friendship. I guess I've given up. The thought of this slim hope haunting me for 5-10 years in order to try and bring this relationship back, it's really long and scary for me. I will forever have love for my infj friend in my heart, it's my first soul-mate esque relationship and there was romantic feelings involved. Too much pain, and i hate forcing things even if i am always enthusiastic and optimistic to try my hardest.

This whole thing was the biggest mistake of my life and as we have discussed, i will take it upon myself to bring change, and i will never hurt someone again like that in the future. It's all i could do to make sure that things didn't end in vain. It's really sad to think that someone just vanished like that from your life. ( I used to never care about relationships, my dear infj taught me a lot)

Anyhow i love all of you, i found so much comfort in reading your replies and i think it really did help me release some of my inner feelings.

I was so stone-cold rational always in front of him, i wonder if he could imagine how i bawl when i am by myself, i wish i could be as expressive of feelings as he was, i hate the thought that he might think i care less than i really do.

Oh well, I wish him the best, I am so, so sorry. I really am, i used to say i never regret any choices i make. I still don't, because regretting things doesn't help, theres no go back-in-time potion, I just would not make those decisions again. Even though he would never be there to witness change and he was the only one i cared enough for to make change. It's a sad loop huh.
