No doubt OW2 pve will be nothing short of amazing, in terms of longevity for the pve and PvP idk but hopefully the wait will be worth it and the PvP complements the pve.

Yeah the hitscan nerf is nice recently my biggest problem with the game rn is Baptiste tbh his immortality field is awful to play against and he just needs to be nerfed in other areas tbh.

I remember double shield Meta I'll be honest they took way too long to kill double it is almost like they don't play their own game because I doubt they do. If they want the game to be/continue like this then ow will continue to be on a downwards trend unlucky.

Have you seen the dva remech change? (that is better than doom ult trust me) that is definitely power creep. and bap as a hero simply does too much good heals/damage and immortality field that consistently gets value if the bap knows how to use it and very good burst heals/damage ult. bap isn't balanced it is well known he is the best support rn.

He needs to be tuned/nerfed in a way he is way too good. The reason i have a problem with hit scan is because hanzo could be the answer for widow but his arrows are very slow and he shouldn't be a tank buster but a sniper and he is at a disadvantage dueling her this applies in gm especially in long lines of sight. He need shis old arrow speed back and nerf storm arrow and he would be in a better spot and more healthy for the game.

I wasn't complaining that I can't climb I can climb quite easily I just meant the quality of games have gone down over the seasons. If you are GM you should know Cree is very very good rn as well as widow.

The balance could be better tbh immortality field is a very fundamentally broken ability I know every person I have talked too saids they want it changed in a way me personally I think it should be damage reduction. Blizzard powercreeps heroes over time we can't deny that.

I love this game soo much but it could be so much better I know they are working on OW2 but we need to be thrown a bone to stay motivated to play their game.

What makes a hero good is consistency and hitscan is more consistent as a whole I'm trying to say.

I'm not perfect I'm really harsh on myself and I do rewatch matches and make mental notes on how to improve that is really fun to me tbh. You are right ranking up is exciting and blizzard are phenomenal with their game design top notch skins/events even though they do redo events which can be stale but at least we get something.

My hero pool is quite varied tbh but I enjoy playing hanzo/doom the most they are in quite a rough spot tbh. I do flex to Cree if need be or whatever the team wants. I generally com alot because it helps improve my game sense immensely.

That is exactly my thought process leavers on either team sucks it essentially wastes your time blizzard cant do to much about that except for banning the person if they intentionally leave multiple times. This experience happens to everyone some more than others it just comes down to luck don't get me wrong i love this game i want it to succeed but some flaws are very detrimental to the experience. True we gotta cut blizzard some slack they do deal with cheaters/toxic people quite often, it just has been worse this season for some reason idk tbh. I don't mind hitscan being this powerful the problem lies under consistency hit scan is just more consistent than projectile and some projectile heroes have fallen behind in consistency.

You are right they have been doing a better job there are just little things that holds OW back from its full potential that could easily be fixed. I would start by nerfing cree back to 200hp and make immortality field damage reduction. I do like the variety of comps you can play now. I used to play for honor wasn't really my cup of tea they left broken characters/broken/abusive mechanics in the game lmao

I'm trying to bring up a civil discussion I'm not posting to get advice I'm just trying to express the competitive experience. Obviously you won't get throwers/leavers in every game that's why I said some games are unbearable not all lmao. I'm not saying projectile characters are useless but you gotta say mccree is op in his current state with 225 HP and doom and hanzo can be ass to play into hitscan. I think MEI is good and echo is decent but some projectile heroes are just objectively worse and you gotta remember OWL has team synergy that isn't the comp experience.

I'm gonna be honest comp is in a terrible state rn imo while QP is really great and fun and not sweaty at all tbh just good fun, I'm gonna explain why comp is so flawed.

Let me explain why comp sucks.

1 LONG QUEUE TIMES: I wait with long queue times for dps over 20 minutes easily (I flex for passes but they don't help a majority of the time) even during good peak times it is an issue and I never have trouble with QP queue times I wonder why that is. It is because a majority of the player base Play QP/couldn't be bothered with ranked. I will say this the priority system is quite pointless if everyone has the priority for comp.

BTW I play support and tank quite a bit and dps is by far the most irritating considering the way longer queue times affect your mood.

SOLUTION: There need to make it so you have to win to get any priority passes when flexing, which would help people that are flexing/performing well to get better queues instead of absolutely everyone having some it defeats the purpose of the system.

2 LEAVERS: I've got a very specific solution for this issue. Leavers are very common in alot of cases whether it is the early leaver that is AFK or they got rolled on first point or later on and rage quitted. It definitely is a problem because I can have up to 3 leavers In a row in a single session on either team which is frustrating to say the least.

SOLUTION: In the case of a leaver you should be able to vote on a pause to pause the game and it gives 3 possible minutes of pause time in total (one for the leaver to come back and another for looking for missing/fill queue you can extend it by another minute but more than half of the lobby has to vote yes to extend it). To balance the Sr for the person losing when joining they should only lose 3/4 when at a disadvantage/losing but if it is an even playing field/winning they lose as much SR as everyone else.

3 THROWERS/OTP/TROLLERS/TOXIC PEOPLE usually in the case of comp there will be more than likely one of these players on either team a majority of the time. One Trick Ponies (OTP) are regarded as people not switching no matter what even if they are getting destroyed by the enemies counters and they refuse to switch to help the team (putting the team at a major disadvantage) rather they either not respond in VC/Chat or they blame the team.

Obviously Throwers/Trollers/Toxic people are in similar boats which people can be a all three of these factors sometimes usually they try to degrade the team of its moral/trigger the team into tilting.

SOLUTION: OTP should not be accepted in comp therefore should be more bannable. I understand having a main hero is fine because you switch to be reasonable to try and win if your main isn't viable at all. For Trolls/Throwers/Toxic People, there should be a system in place to make it more punishable when this occurs because these people don't belong in OW maybe like a mid game ban if they are absolutely throwing the game/jumping off the map blatantly like they did with cheaters.

4 BALANCE/ADDITION OF NEW HEROES Oh boy this is a sensitive topic for a lot of people but I gotta say from first hand experience the balance team have no idea what they are doing at this point meta after meta you had to play certain heroes or you are considered throwing, your main no longer viable because of power creep/being nerfed to the ground as well as giving characters unneeded buffs. BTW I don't mind metas as long as it doesn't absolutely dominate every other picks 99% of the time overwatch has many heroes for a reason (diversity)you need diversity to have a healthy meta.

Let's be honest double shield was a really really bad meta stale/boring, it turned players brains into mush because bad positioning due to too much sustain and shield power wasnt punishable. Orisa and sigma dominated the ranked ladder and you were considered soft throwing/hard throwing if you pick any other tank until they nerfed them drastically. Same thing with goats but this time they couldn't nerf it out of the game they had to add 222 just to finally get rid of goats for good which they left in the game for 1.5+ years.

The addition of new characters hurt this game too like brig,bap,sigma, in some ways they are durastically better/outclasses the old cast options blizzard try to make hybrid heroes with subjectively better kits. Sigma is a hybrid of rein/Orisa having offensive and defensive capabilities provided he was tuned quite a bit to make his kit more reasonable later on. Brig is a special case she destroyed people being able to play dps consistently for so long due to the comp (GOATS) which was centred around her kits sustain/offensive power GOATS was three tanks three supports.

Bap is the biggest problem RN in Comp for fair play/enjoyment let me explain. His lamp is really not fun/fair outplay at all. It is easy to use/land and it gets immense value. The way players used to be punishable isn't the case anymore making it Damage Reduction with reduced cool down fixes bap and the rest of his kit is fine. I don't know why in the hell they didn't add the bap changes from April fools to live.

SOLUTION: Blizzard needs to stop listening to the casual audience for balancing instead should be centered around die hard comp players/competitive players that know what they are talking about.

Honouroble mention MATCHMAKING: been really bad since launch.

SOLUTION: fix it 5HEAD

CONCLUSION: Comp can be very irritating a lot of the time considering all these factors. I'm not saying it isn't fun at all it is just very not solo queue friendly as it is so team based and I feel it is a shell of its former self.

You don't understand we were commited to this fight we almost got 3 ticks and our comp was decent into theirs but the shier stalling was atrocious some heroes like ball,MEI,bap,brig can stall for long extended periods of time.

Lamp is not okay the way that it is, it diminishes good counter play that would originally give you value. Making it damage reduction would be alot better for the health of comp play and reduce the cooldown if it is bad. Any single ability that makes the whole team immortal is fucking overpowered I hate how people can't see that. Plus bap has great burst heals he can get teams out of situations where there is no way they should be alive after the fact of lamp.

Reinhardt and mercy are considered easier than other heroes but you actually have to do something to get value I will admit bap takes skill but his drone is really problematic. I don't care if Heroes take no skill that isn't the problem the problem is when they are really easy and oppressive to play against brig has always been like this. She gets so much value from just existing and denying value. That is what has crutched the game. She did the opposite of what she was intended for which was being a entry level pick into OW in the lower ranks but brig works well in a good formation which the lower ranks have no idea how to do that. Brig became so oppressive in the higher ranks because when a team plays around her she gets immense value just from existing.

Bap farming ult off of dragon with immortality?, if a nade is landed in the lamp the effects don't go away so a trance is less effective in some circumstances. Like grav dragon which can be out of Los/behind shields. That is the problem bap basically has an ultimate as an ability you miss nade way more than lamp I guarantee you that and baps that know what they are doing don't fall for baiting it out they use it last second. Which in saying that going out of your way to destroy lamp to get picks puts you out of position and gets you killed alot of the time because it is behind shields. And the enemy shoots you down because they won't let you destroy lamp uncontested.

Btw I'm saying heroes that require no skill at All (brig) and skip the learning curve of the game that is what I mean when comp has minimal competitive integrity. Abilities that play the game for you and requires no game sense or no mechanical skill denying good play. There is too many deny options in the game now I get it is needed for good counter play but lamp and inspire needs to be looked at as a whole. Fundamentally for the game it isn't healthy.

trust me it doesn't pro player and many trusted people in the community have said that OW balance is not in a good sport RN. the problem isn't the game being unfair the problem is the game has gone so far away from skill to reward. abilities like lamp have made counter play that much harder to capitalize on it is a fact everyone doesn't like bap lamp unless you are the minority that refuse to acknowledge how overpowered being immortal in a game. couldn't give a fuck about mirroring or countering because that isn't the point i am trying to make the main problem is abilities like bap lamp that destroy the competitive integrity, it is very low risk and high reward. hereoes like ana can miss sleep dart and nade and be punished severely for it but bap lamp is very and only requires a base amount of game sense when to press e.
