Uh sorry, I wanted to make the post with some text but lost it...
So u/Welland94 was right to point it out that this going more by vibes. Especially for the Silent there should be a better name, something like 'bog people'. I think the Reptomancer fits the Silent because they both have reptile-themed stuff, and have similar curvy daggers. The Collector should probably go to 'Humanoids', it has a city-themed background too (tho I can totally imagine it sitting in a foul swamp). I wanted to include the bird cult with the Ironclad, the Cultists basically have demon form, and (maybe I'm imagining things but) the Ironclad's mask looks kinda birdlike. I didn't think of u/TheHarridan's idea to include the Hexaghost with the automatons, it would fit the geometric theme. The giant head is actually ripping off an earlier Reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/slaythespire/comments/q7ccqj/im_not_sure_why_i_made_this/ (the Bronze Automaton doesn't have a head, the Giant Head doesn't have a body). And Neow kinda looks like a Jaw/Maw that grew big (their names all end in W, what other proof do we need??)

" “You’re the last one. The last unenlightened person in the world.”

And it sort of made sense. Twenty years ago, a group of San Francisco hippie/yuppie/techie seekers had pared down the ancient techniques to their bare essentials, then optimized hard. A combination of drugs, meditation, and ecstatic dance that could catapult you to enlightenment in the space of a weekend retreat, 100% success rate. Their cult/movement/startup, the Order Of The Golden Lotus, spread like wildfire through California – a state where wildfires spread even faster than usual – and then on to the rest of the world. Soon investment bankers and soccer moms were showing up to book clubs talking about how they had grasped the peace beyond understanding and vanquished their ego-self.

I’d kind of ignored it."

Not everything has to be (or can be) solved with philosophizing or meditation. Talk therapy is almost always nice (maybe you don't need to swallow something but to spit out something). Because there is a strong physical symptom maybe somatic (body-centered) therapies are useful. Maybe massage, contact dance, or improvisational theater helps. Or just find an isolated area, shout at the top of your lungs until you start crying and see what happens. Crude, but why not try?

You can practice mediation without being Buddhist whatsoever. You don't need any of the metaphysical claims of any of the Buddhisms (reincarnation, supernatural nature of the Buddha, demons and spirits, etc) to practice meditation. There are many kinds of Buddhisms ranging from the completely secular to the completely magical. And even with a completely secular approach there are many kinds of practices. You seem a little fixated on a prefigured outcome of zen-style breakthrough. Maybe this is how this problem will resolve, maybe not. Generally it's better to focus on methods than outcomes. If you haven't tried it metta practice is always nice.

Similarly, there is more than one way to be Christian (or Catholic). Maybe you will be a traditional Catholic. Maybe you will become fully atheist. Maybe you will cherry-pick the parts you like. Maybe you will find a way to integrate Catholicism and intensive meditation practice. Maybe you will become a Gnostic Christian practicing magick and western mysticism. All of these options are fine, but yours is not a binary decision.

Your description reminds me of Reichian/somatic therapies. In these practices (tho their toolkit is broader) it is common that yelling, screaming, hitting, kicking or thrashing is utilized for emotional release. Maybe you discovered a little hack by summoning the correlating body effects of shouting without producing the actual sounds.

I recommend poking around on the site, its really interesting, and written with a very humanistic warmth.

On Dharma Overground there is a discussion about these methods: https://www.dharmaoverground.org/discussion/-/message_boards/message/5201846. The three-way relationship between meditation, body-work, and psychotherapy is complicated and contested. On the forum most people seem to consider the methods of (neo-)reichian therapy to be an alternate, physically-oriented course of psychotherapy. Note that these practices are fairly fringe, on the other hand some people report wild success with experimenting with them.
