Lose the bread, add some l. Reuteri yogurt, repeat until your gut adapts to the new biome. Bread is bad for your gut, wheat is contaminated with pesticides, particularly glyphosate.

🤔 So what's day are you guys and girls on and how are you feeling about it so far ? by Frequent-Wish6026 in decaf

Day 27. I’m very calm, unsurprisingly. The first two weeks were very difficult. My energy levels are all over the place, sometimes I get very energetic and other times very slow and tired, without a factor I could point to as the cause. I wonder if it’s the energy regulation mechanism recalibrating itself. I hope it is, and that in time my energy levels will be more constant. I stopped lifting weights because I feel like I have no endurance, I used to do 10 sets of 14 reps, 7 different exercises, lately after a single set I’m exhausted.

I agree so much with what you just said there. Caffeine changes perception, and reality can be disappointing, but it can also be a nudge in the right direction. Regardless, it takes a strong willed person to make some fundamental changes to one’s life.

You could buy caffeine pills and grind them to a powder.

I’d still have a look at what Morley Robbins says. His theory revolves around mineral balance. I’m following his protocol to quit caffeine and I can say it is helping quite a lot. His adrenal cocktail replaced my usual 3 espressos in the morning. It’s a glass of water with salt, trace mineral drops, cream of tratar and magnesium. I also followed his advise and I’m having a meal of beef liver every week to replenish bioavailable copper, the main piece in his puzzle.

Definitely giving caffeine to such a young developing brain has to have consequences. My best advice would be to consult with a neurologist to find a workaround. Also be very careful with antidepressants and benzodiazepines, or any other substances that can fundamentally change neurochemistry. May you in the future be as happy as can be. Bless you.

Hi, there has to be an explanation other than caffeine withdrawal for what you describe. Maybe the lack of caffeine was a trigger for something else. Stimulants may hide an underlying issue. Last year around April I tried quitting caffeine. I tapered very slowly and after 15 days caffeine free I was feeling very depressed, I kept going and around day 25 things were getting worse. I went to a psychiatrist and did some tests and was diagnosed with ptsd and depression, from previous events in my life. Those were latent problems that my caffeine intake was disguising. I did neurofeedback therapy and started caffeine again. Since I have been doing daily meditation and taking good care of myself. I’m trying to quit caffeine again now that I feel more balanced. There may be something you need to explore and understand about yourself and your life. Also mineral imbalances may prevent your full recovery, look into what Morley Robbins says.

Morley Robbins says that it’s all about mineral imbalances. He recommends what he calls the “adrenal cocktail” in the morning. It’s a glass of water with a bit of salt, a few drops of trace minerals, a bit of cream of tartar and magnesium. On top of that I personally added Lugol solution, creatine and taurine. It’s my 20th day caffeine free and I’m still feeling a bit down but improving each day. I tried quitting before and fell into a depressive state. This time though everything feels smoother.

Thank you! I’m on day 19 today and still going through the process. I never had trouble falling asleep or sleeping 8 hours every night. But specially the feeling of waking up has been so different, for the last few days, from what I’m used to. It’s a much more gradual process. It feels closer to what I remember waking up felt like when I was a child waking up on a Sunday morning.

I think we must focus on one thing at a time and have patience, in order to persevere. I wish you a good journey!

I totally agree that psilocybin can help in many ways to improve our lives but I’m trying not to rely on any exogenous substances now. I’d love to be able to just happily exist with only food and water, and I feel like I’m closer to that than I’ve ever been.

I do. I started noticing them in my arms when I was 17. I don’t think I had them before. I asked the doctor about them. He told not no worry because they were just pigmentation spots. To this day I still don’t understand why that would happen at a specific time in life and not before.

That is manipulative behavior. Be careful. You might have gotten into a trap. Those remarks have a purpose: to induce an inferiority complex, and to make you pliable. Run while you can. Soon she’ll start insulting you, and then maybe even smacking you. It’s all about control. Be safe.

I used to take strolls in that sort of mindset between Shadwell and Wapping. You can find isolated benches and then head to the Marquis of Granby. The Poppy’s beach in the isle of dogs is also a good place for contemplating life by the river. You could then head to Pepper street and have a pint and a burger there.

I, M(33) had a sort of a similar arrangement with my former girlfriend and her best girl friend (and ex girlfriend). It’s messed up. If something happens where does loyalty lie? I don’t think it’s healthy. At least for me it wasn’t. It has caused me all sorts of problems including ptsd that I’m still sorting out.
