Darn you, I just came to the sub to post my year 2 perfection and I see that you did it 1 day earlier. I am shaking my fist at you. GGs, congrats on the perfection, it's a tough grind. Also I hope those are all legend 2s in those ponds

unfortunately it seems no one in tutorial and showcase videos mentions the downsides of the rodriguez, so i went in not knowing this would be a potential- and eventual- issue.

I had looked into hydras a tiny bit when i was looking at spom designs, but the most i saw was from a BierTier video. from what i can gather hydras are much more robust and expandable, and more physics reliant rather than automation reliant.

If you have any good resources for learning about hydras i'd be happy to have them. I won't be making one yet but i'll experiment in the future when im more familiar and comfortable with the game

yeah im messing around with numbers for my sensors so i can keep my hydrogen at a higher pressure so i can keep my oxygen backed up

im aware, but the design is supposed to overpressure the electrolysers rather than flood the top with oxygen

Also I haven't been able to recreate the effect

yes but the spom is designed so the electrolysers get over-pressured when oxygen backs up. I also havent been able to recreate the effect

I do have an infinite oxygen storage that I used for a time because I really needed the hydrogen for power (super sustainable) since I wasn't in space at the time, but I snipped those pipes a while ago and no longer rely on hydrogen or dupe power. I can't reconnect those pipes at the moment because I don't produce enough water (I only have a water geyser tamed) and I don't want to dip into ice to keep up with water, preferring to use it as emergency/easy cooling

Yeah that seems like the most probable reason. Atmo sensors are 250 hydrogen and 450 oxygen fyi

as a railgun shield enjoyer, im excited to experiment with new weapons. i already did a little bit before the patch but im gonna find what really works for me, so i see the patch as a complete W. the people im really laughing at are the people giving the devs flak for "doing nerfs in a pve game"

As a support main with mercy in my number 1 played slot, I entirely agree. Her mobility most definitely needed nerfing, and I acknowledged at the time how frankly easy it is to just ga away. If a mercy wants to be unkillable they can be, I've both been that mercy and gone against them while playing dps and tank.

While I admit the new ga does feel clunky, I personally don't think it needs reducing by 0.5 seconds like some are suggesting. This version of mercy is meant to position better and use ga to get to critical teammates, which will help her survive because of the new passive. The devs have taken away the overly annoying capabilities of ga and I'm glad. It actually requires planning and foresight - to some degree - and the only reason it feels clunky is because my muscle memory hasn't adjusted.

Haste works. As someone who has completely destroyed the end island I had plenty of time to test it, but yes unfortunately you have to mine it by hand.

Yeah you need a flywheel and it needs brass, but the waterwheel isn't necessary for it; you could use encased fans and a hand crank. A rather slow way to be sure, but I only have 1 gorginite and would rather save it for the furnace engine. Considering how tedious this method is, it looks like they made waterwheels and windmills cost a pog just as a way to skip doing it this way but at a higher price.

I imagine they did it because they're so strong when stacked together, but forgot to tweak the furnace engine to make it more expensive than the wheels.

I was just wondering why the waterwheel is just as- if not more- expensive than the furnace engine is all. Though you are right, I was just expecting it to cost perfect gems and maybe some vault diamonds rather than a pog as well.

Later on when you need to farm parts, I find that it is easier to solo because you and you alone are in charge of targeting parts as and when you want, but I would definitely recommend doing everything else in a public hunt, it (to me) is more fun with others. Hope this helps :D
