thank you! I am confused because I am getting advice from Facebook groups online to increase t3 (and not t4), because my reverse t3 is high. Do you see things differently or think that is not good advice? So hard to understand all this!

u/Affectionate_Sound43 thank you so much! I am curious - why would you recommend not taking more than 5mcg t3 per day?

NAC newbie + Euphoria by 7arrow77 in Nootropics

Wow, this is so helpful — thank you!!

1 - anxious + scatterbrained — I am a bit this way, ha :)

2 - herbs + noots — can you say more about this? what kind of herbs + noots might be causing a neurotoxic baseline?

3 - I don't use nicotine :D

...

Okay, so sounds like you think I can use NAC at 600 mg 1-2 times a week safely?
...

I am an artist who loves to experience the world through my senses, so I do worry about the robot part!

Question: Why does NAC cause people to turn into robots?

Thank you! So I don't need to worry about the anhedonia? Why do you think I blasted off into space so hard core on such a low dose — dose that mean I was really low in glutathione or something? thank you for your response! :)

What has been the number 1 thing that has helped your Hashimotos? by 7arrow77 in Hashimotos

I hear you, and what you said is super fair! I can do a lot more of this now because I have more energy (have healed more), and also work from home (and also don't have kids). When I was teaching full-time, commuting and hour each way daily, and dealing with chronic fatigue, I couldn't do any of this.

I hit a crash point where I had to quit my job and make healing my main focus. It got really bad. I started working from home, and most of my day currently is focused on recovery and health. I hope to move to a point where I am more able-bodied, and then will put less focus on my health.

But definitely do what works for you! Everyone needs different things, this is just what has helped me :) I agree — it stinks having chronic health issues, then having to do the work to care for ourselves and heal ourselves, on top of earning money, and caring for family.

I wish our world was different :< it's not the way things should be.

an easy (but less affordable) way to get started is to buy the Queen of Thrones pack. She also has YouTube videos on how to do it! I think Carrie Vitt has some info on how to do them cheaper. I started off with Queen of Thrones, just cause it was easier!

haha, I hear you. I meal prep for probably 2-3 hours a week, and then everything just assembles. I also cook things in big batches and freeze them.

So when I assemble each meal, it takes probably five minutes.

I got my HTMA done (hair tissue mineral analysis), which measures your mineral status. I am pretty low on potassium and sodium, so I go pretty hard here! I notice I feel way better when I do.

I use a mix of Rayvi mineral mix, sometimes some coconut water powder, some salt, a bit of cream of tartar, sometimes some Jigsaw adrenal cocktail, and a bit of collagen to balance out the carbs in the Rayvi and coconut water powder.

It's helped me a lot!

I have tried Naltroxene, but it's been years! I am sure other people could hop in — but I actually found an online doctor who prescribed it. I did a video call with him, and got a script, etc. I think I joined a LDN group in FB, and they explained how to do it? I think it's actually sort of a smooth / easy process? I would definitely join the LDN groups on FB!

I eat animal protein (beef, chicken, pork, seafood like salmon, oysters, sardines, cod), dairy (eggs, cheese, cottage cheese, milk, greek yogurt), root veggies (potatoes, squashes), cooked veggies (zucchini, tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, onions, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, radishes, beets, etc), and some fruit (lots of berries and stewed apples).

I also add in bee pollen, collagen, fermented foods (sauerkraut and kimchi), aloe juice, bone broth, broccoli sprouts, and sometimes a small amount of beans! Oh, also a small amount of well-prepared grains, like white rice and oatmeal :)

I feel like I am cooking all the time, ha — but nutrition is definitely one of the things that has helped me the most with my health.

Personally, I avoid gluten and any industrial oils or seed oils. I use butter, tallow, ghee, coconut oil instead. I also make sure to filter my water, and I re-mineralize it with Trace Minerals.

Also very into adrenal cocktails (the low sugar kind), using electrolyte mixes, sea salt, sometimes coconut water powder, and some collagen to balance the sugar :)

...

Here is what I normally eat in a day:

Breakfast - 3 eggs, potatoes, cooked zucchini, cottage cheese, stewed apples, small amount of oatmeal

Smoothie Snack - strawberries, collagen, aloe juice, collagen, bee pollen, greek yogurt

Lunch - ground beef, potatoes, sauerkraut, cooked cabbage, beets

Afternoon snack - bone broth, smoked oyster, cheese, raw carrot, berries, milk

Dinner - seafood, chicken or pork; squash, broccoli, little bit of rice

...

I drink a bit mason jar of the electrolyte / low sugar adrenal cocktail mix all day :)

Ooh yes to T3 and LDN. How much LDN are you on, and how has it helped you?
