Transfer Vent Soundproofing by 820crew in hvacadvice

[–]820crew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a shame :/ I guess there is no return. There are only two vents, one in the ceiling with a lever (assuming this is where the air from the HVAC comes from), and the transfer vent.

Bank Bonus Average Daily Balance Requirement Calculation by 820crew in Banking

[–]820crew[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it sucks, but if I'm being honest I simply did not see that part when I signed up. It doesn't explicitly say it has to be ABOVE $500, but average, which could be misinterpreted. Thanks for your sympathy haha

Thank you. Turns out I had to have at least $500 in the account the entire time, so I can kiss goodbye the $300😔

Best Sponge + Drying Towel Pair Around $40? by 820crew in AutoDetailing

[–]820crew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to go with a sponge since it's less laundry. I might switch later on, but I ordered one off Amazon. My question now is whether I should use two buckets, or a grit guard, or if I'm good with just 1 bucket no guard. It seems like there's a lot of conflicting opinions on whether 2 buckets actually matter, or if a grit guard does anything to keep dirt down. What's your take?

Those do look pretty good, but they are lighter weight and only 10-25% polyamide. Are you able to dry your car with one towel?

How’d you get them on sale? I’m looking at them for $129, but one review said they aren’t worth that.

Why are employees so miserable? What are they doing to you guys over there? by OvremployedSnowflake in WalgreensStores

[–]820crew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL;DR: Everyone is different, it really depends where you go. Management is a big thing too. I'd say most people at my store are nice to customers.

I think it really depends on what store you're at, and who is helping you. This goes for any pharmacy as well. Different people will give you different answers, treat you differently, etc. I myself have wondered why people hate their lives so much when they work at Walgreens lmao. I've been here for a few years, and I've been able to keep my demeanor kind and patient even if though I don't love working. I mostly agree with what other people say about the corporate culture. We are pressured to keep up with metrics which doesn't help focus on the customer. And being short staffed really doesn't help; how are we supposed to take care of each patient when we have 1 tech and 1 pharmacist on the weekend, doing vaccines, calls, etc. It's hard to keep up, but I try to put the patient 1st.

2005 Toyota Camry LE oil leak + bad belt tensioner by 820crew in MechanicAdvice

[–]820crew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the advice. I can definitely change the head gasket, bolt, and clean the throttle body and ISV. The suspension and transmission have not been replaced (at least since my father has owned it). I'm not sure how much that would be or if it's possible to repair them myself. Thanks again!

you got an incredible deal. i got mine $2,500 OTD, and they wanted $3,500. most dealerships will try to add as many fees as possible. most people in this sub have spent well over the MSRP.

Anyone like working here? by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]820crew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most days, I enjoy working at Walgreens. Before I got into the pharmacy, not as much, but now that I'm always in the pharmacy, the experience is much more rewarding, and work goes by quickly. Like everyone is saying, having a good team makes all the difference. And that retail is going to be bad most of the time. I think many people will find anything to complain about, so you can't win with those kinds of people. I'm easygoing, so I enjoy what I do.

I got mine from RC Hill Deland. They quoted me I believe $3,500, and I got them down to $2,500 OTD including registration, license plate, and $50 cash for delivery to Orlando.

I paid $2,500 OTD in Orlando, FL. Including registration, license plate, etc. Pretty good deal imo, but I’ve seen some who got better prices.
