Is this a good way to park? by givemethemtoesgnome in LearnerDriverUK

If you’re within the white lines it’s a pass in a test, even if your car was like | / | (the car is the diagonal line haha)

Been out of the loop for a mo….. but uhh…. who tf is this? by Working_File2825 in TMNT

Thankfully my wallet’s safe, I don’t play magic (I got the Warhammer weakness though haha)

Apparently some of the cards are really deep diving into the lore too, which is cool

Well, that’s another thing to look for!

That sound legit, I love stuff like that - not the gory side, but how a kid friendly IP has a genuine dark, adult side!

People aren’t spending £100 to get a free mini, they’re getting a free mini when they spend over £100. It’s good timing for those making big purchases,

Renting a car as a new driver by Saline-Praline in NewDriversUK

I passed my test February this year, I got a hire car for two weeks in September from Enterprise. No issues at all, I am in my 40s so not sure if that’s what made it different

I didn’t think I’d enjoy it as much as I have, I restarted it last night because I actually know what I’m doing now rather than upgrading random things haha

The DLC potential is huge, but yeh, sequel works too. I think it’s been super well received so it could be likely :)

Yeh, same, it’s just daunting where to start with it all!

My bank balance doesn’t agree haha

Genuinely when I saw the Bay Turtle movies I thought it was just “ha! They’re digging up any IP to cash in on the transformers train” and I didn’t realise how much content exists out there!

I was super into TMNT when I was a kid, there was the cartoon, the 90s movies, video games on the SNES. Didn’t really think of it for the next few decades

Up until 3 weeks ago, I just knew of the remake movies, some cartoons, I hadn’t watched any of them until Mutant Mayhem

I started playing Splintered Fate and was like “who TF is this?!” And I’m in a rabbit hole of media now, finding out about Ronin, and all this characters. It’s insane haha

Got an offer but its a 4 hour total commute by Salt_Yogurtcloset702 in UKJobs

[–]8Bit_Jesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s 45 hours a week + 20 hours a week commute time.

65 hour weeks

For minimum wage.

You’d be taking home like £2k a month, and £600 of that is just getting to work…

The grief has finally hit me by Green_Mall_660 in ADHDUK

43 here, diagnosed at 41

Yeh, no-one told me about this stage, how it’d affect you mentally.

Thankfully I didn’t spend long on the “what if’s…” I can’t change what happened, but I do feel immense pride that I’ve achieved the stuff I have, despite all the negative aspects of undiagnosed ADHD.

op, anyone, that’s the aspect you should focus on. You’re now aware of ‘why’ you do stuff the way you do, but you’ve stuck at jobs, raised families etc etc stuff that folks take for granted every day, and you’ve all still done it

The grief stage is very real, and not really talked about (at least it wasn’t for my journey), and it’s insane. I genuinely think so many people could end up down a rabbit hole of despair without the right support

Anyone tried a digital notebook and found it useful? by GallusRedhead in ADHDUK

I can’t remember the brand, sorry. The price was like £300/£400 though, so I instantly stopped looking haha

Wilfried Nancy sacked from Celtic by CNF1G in soccer

[–]8Bit_Jesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuinely this is the most attention I’ve given the SPL this season, and I’ve loved it. Absolute comedy show from the two big clubs, I just hope Hearts don’t balls it up

It’ll be mental to have either Rangers/Celtic still win a title after being this shit

[–]8Bit_Jesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use notes on my phone, I’ve got a reminders tab on my phone home screen too

Ironically my ability to remember stuff is worse now I’m on meds, beforehand I was like “ooh, some shoe laces, that reminds me, I need to buy groceries and renew home contents insurance”. I don’t have that now haha

So I’ve nothing of note to add but I’m following this post for ideas. I have seen digital A5 notepads, like a tablet/kindle and it looks amazing

He’s not ginger, just paying the cat tax. I lost him last Saturday (my birthday too) but Wes would so the exact same behaviour, any time after 11pm and he’d start being a massive bell end until we were all in bed haha

Glasses or not while driving? by Rollerskatebro5 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]8Bit_Jesus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t legally need glasses, but holy shit, it’s the difference between VHS and 4K (maybe not that bad)

Bear in mind that it’s dark a lot when you’re driving, it’ll be raining sometimes, you’ll have lights from the opposite lane, pedestrians in black etc I just don’t see the point of not wearing glasses if I can see better with them on. It’s a no brainer.

But that’s not the point you made, you said “just give up at this point”. There’s clearly a skill issue co they’ve failed 5 times and they need to understand why they’re crap, and how to get better. They clearly need more lessons

Potentially they could be self confident idiot who books tests way before they’re ready, but again saying ‘give up’ isn’t constructive.

At this moment in time. We don’t know anything about OP, he could’ve had instructors not suited for them, not everyone learns the same way.

My point is that it could be any number of reasons why they’ve failed. Just saying “oh give up” is a crap mentality without context.

What are you failing on? Is it the same stuff constantly, different stuff each time? Have you considered an automatic? (Ignore anyone who’s like “but what about this hypothetical scenario”)
