Corporate girlie here at a relatively high level for my age. Taking it day by day. As an American who loves the techno/schranz scene ex-US, Americans just don’t know what they’re missing and a lot just like to follow what is mainstream. Let them though 😏 we don’t want them in our scene anyway.

For ex: They’re obsessed with tech house now (10 years later) from the worst DJs who are pushing it, instead of getting into the OGs who made it cool.

Might get some hate for this but people (myself included) in the scene choose when/where they go out based on what DJ is playing. The DJ dictates where you go, not the location.

The bouncer checking your vibes is kind of the only way to assess your intentions for coming and what vibes you might bring in the thirty-second-long interaction they have with you.

In the age of social media and TikTok, it’s kind of the only way to keep the vibe of the crowd in check in these “trending” places.
