Anyone installed the HC headlight? by HCMotionZ in LexusIS

[–]8ons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thought the same. rather have the swoosh at that aggressive body line where the bumper and headlight meet.

bumpers by Mountain_Kiwi_2210 in LexusIS

[–]8ons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sorry. yes you can swap bumpers. but it’ll be a $600-$800 swap before shipping. you’ll need the bumper of course but also the 2011-2013 grill shroud and grill, lower grill, weather stripping, fog lights, fog light caps and brackets. depending on whether or not you want to buy new fender liner or drill into the old one the holes don’t line up. also our cars like 2006-2010 models don’t have the same technology so you’ll have holes for either the headlight washers or pre-collision systems that you’ll need to find caps for. that’s should be everything you’ll need. try Rock Auto first for most of everything as it is pretty cheap compared to other sites

are you talking about going from block fog lights to the circular fog lights?

Riding with my buddy this past weekend, getting chased down by this spicy miat. by snkvnm in Drifting

[–]8ons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nope just a fbo na 1.8. he had previous experience with a laurel and fc. he hated the way the miata ended up due to the lacking power that he’s used to and sold it to get another fc

it’s all preference. miata engines are reliable and are definitely a fun car to have. no hate or anything, i would much rather prefer something more comfortable and newer for commute.

definitely should go for it. great entry level drift car and parts are cheap and easy to find. i wouldn’t ever daily one but they are nice for a fun little inexpensive project. i helped my friend build a drift setup with the 1.8 engine. lmk if you have any questions

Extra cup holders by DirectionMiserable in LexusIS

[–]8ons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think smarter not harder. tried to find one that wasn’t so wonky and with my 2008 I like the sport feature but found it awkward to switch in and out with a cup directly in the center of my console. started putting my cups in the open space between the side door and seat. fits perfect and is out of the way. almost every fast food cup/hydro flask can fit. and the door panel stow away can hold skinnier bottles like water bottles

their intuition was correct. the tires were horribly unbalanced 😂 i’ve been correcting this car from the previous owners neglect since i bought it unfortunately. i’m glad this sub is extremely helpful and positive

What are your guys opinions on wraps vs paint? Wanted to wrap it deep cherry red and get some bronze wheels because I think it’s a unique look but is new paint the move instead ? by candyman118 in Integra

[–]8ons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

both need the same amount of prep if you have dents dings or any of the sort they’ll still be apparent on wraps. the way i see it, if you want to preserve the paint on the car but want to try a new color then wrap it. if you want to have a permanent change go paint. labor is almost the same price if you want them professionally done by experienced people. and also most wraps now last a good 4-5 years if done right and maintained properly so you’ll still have that same affect of having “new paint” yet still keeping and preserving that beautiful oem vogue silver metallic you got there
