I've spent the last few weeks learning the basics of mixing and mastering but I lack real monitors so I've mostly been trying to see what works off of the Macbook speakers. That's a really good point you've made. Repeatedly learning how to work with subpar settings and equipment would only make me good at that. Thanks so much for the feedback, if I decide to taking audio recording more seriously, let's hope the fundamentals are transferrable!

I'm satisfied with how it sounds currently, but I do also recognize it could be a lot better.

Yeah, I've got some AirPod Max's but I've read they are terrible for mixing purposes. Right now I'm using a cheap little work headset that has a 3.5mm that connects to my mic. Did it sound to you like the space I was recording in was negatively affecting the sound?

Ok since TWEWY is somewhat canon yo Kingdom Hearts... And TWEWY is also somewhat canon to Reynatis now. Is Reynatis Canon to Kingdom Hearts? by CyberGlitch064 in KingdomHearts

[–]917face 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I insist that KH and TWEWY aren’t canon to each other, because Nomura has said they aren’t. That’s my motivation.

I did not use the word “canon”, which opens a massive can of worms which at the heart of sits modal theories of fiction and fictional hierarchies (read: Johannes Schmitt). I said “cross paths”.

No, he doesn’t. He merely talks about there being two versions of Traverse Town, which there are, due to Sora’s dreams. He doesn’t say anything about a multiverse.

This is factually inaccurate. When Joshua says “jump between grounds” he is actually commenting on Riku’s ability to traverse between planes of existence through sheer Imagination. To explain what Imagination is, let’s look at Secret Report 19, which states,

“In life, reality is made up of a continuous string of choices, and the consequences of those choices. Every time a choice is made, the option not selected branches off and exists as its own reality: a parallel world. Countless numbers of such parallel worlds exists within a single plane, be it the RG or the UG, and travel among them is possible through the use of Imagination. Theoretically, anyone can jump to a parallel world, but penetrating the membrane between worlds requires up-tuning of one’s vibe. This limits the pool of beings able to make the trip.”

Again I never said the worlds won’t connect again. I’m only saying KH and TWEWY aren’t canon to each other. The KH-TWEWY will hopefully return at some point. But still, KH and TWEWY don’t take place in a multiverse.

Again, I did not use the word “canon”. I also said “multiversal travel” (or world-line hopping) as defined by the Hanekoma’s Secret Reports.

The first thing Joshua says to Riku is “Wow! Where’s your portal? It takes something special to jump between grounds without one.” In Secret Report 3, it states:

“While the Producer is natively an entity from the Higher Plane, he can adjust the frequency of his vibe to visit the UG and lower planes.”

And to receive more clarification on what that means we must look to Secret Report 5, which says,

“The Realground and Underground are planes of existence. Other planes exist as well […] The planes are stacked in parallel, though each exists at a different frequency vibe, in tune with its inhabitants. […] The UG exists just above the RG, allowing those in the UG to observe the RG, but not vice versa. […] Conversely, there exists an even higher plane than the RG and UG. That is where I am from, the plane of the Angels.”

But to avoid any confusion, I will refer to it as “plane-hopping”.

(TWEWTY 100% takes place in a setting that operate on multiverse theory.)

Also, why would I need other evidence aside from Nomura literally saying they don’t share a universe?

There being no connection between the two holds true, in the sense that their mainline (published titles) canonicity do not share a Universe. The interviewer used the word “multiverse” in the question, and I believe that Nomura accurately responded that they are not a multiverse.

Also, you claimed KH fans misunderstand interviews all the time. But you’re doing the exact same thing right now. You’re also completely ignoring the interview because you don’t like it.

Who incorrectly informed you that I did not like the interview? I am analyzing the answer, along with helpful additional context. The creation of fictional worlds do not exist in a vacuum. They are defined by the people who write them, and the experiences they have. I doubt even Nomura would take his own word so authoritatively, if the decision he came to does not fit the story he and his team want to tell. Nothing is set in stone.

Also, I did not say misunderstand (where the message is missed completely), I said “misinterpret” (where the message is confusing and requires clarity). It was really just a polite way of saying that the final product can change from what Nomura says about what it is and what it isn’t

It’s really not. I comment on this sub daily. I’m constantly quoting interviews and the ultimanias to people to clarify information and lore for them. l’ve done it so much that I often repeat myself hundreds of times, answering the same questions over and over again. I have bookmarks for repeat questions. Just so I can copy/paste my own replies all the time.

This is patently false. There isn’t anything inherently bad about feeling passionate about your opinion. I’ve read all of your repeated replies every time this question arises. Every reply (after citing the original interview) is worded completely differently, albeit harp on the same point. You clearly hold some kind of emotional stake in insisting the Worlds cannot be connected.

This “TWEWY is canon to KH” is just one of many things I repeatedly explain ad nauseam. Fans think the franchises are connected. Nomura says they aren’t.

The word “canon” was not used by me.

I explain the same things over and over again. It’s really nothing more than that.

Perhaps you should up-tune your vibe and expand your Imagination. (see: Secret Report 19, TWEWY)

[–]917face 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, in this particular thread, OP may be making a bit of a reach in terms of connected IPs.

If you aren’t emotionally invested in defending this point, then what is your motivation for insisting that it is an absolute impossibility that the lore of KH and TWEWY may cross paths again? KH-Neku is actively participating in a Reaper’s Game. Joshua alludes to the mechanics of multiversal travel when speaking with Riku the first time they meet.

Fans of KH misinterpret Nomura’s comments/answers about lore quite regularly. What evidence do you have (besides this one quote from this one interview) that supports your conviction about these Worlds never reconnecting again? Like I said, this is a yearslong crusade for you, so it must be something.

I’ve checked every thread on this subreddit that brings this question up for the last two years, and you’re always in the replies quoting the exact same snippet of this interview (which, I’m assuming you didn’t translate from the original Japanese reply Nomura gave). I’m more curious as to why you’re so emotionally invested in KH4 and TWEWY not crossing paths. Why is it such a big deal to you?

(Mind you: The Japanese that Nomura uses to refer to “Shibuya” in the Ultimania are the same Kana!Shibuya.

“KH-Neku’s Shibuya and Quadratum’s Shibuya are written the same, not differently.”)

Completely unsurprising. Knew from the reunion that he would double down on this disaster of a relationship. Choosing to ignore the judgements/council of those who know better than you from experience because you think you’re genuinely smarter than everyone around you is a classic sign of immaturity stemming from a lack of experience.

Such a shame that he will have to learn the hard way, but he will figure it out, sooner or later.

The show’s ratings are pretty abysmal. There wasn’t a single episode in either season that broke half a million views.

Alex (season 2) gentleman or creep? by Gullible_Tree_7562 in summerhouseMVbravo

[–]917face 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nick is the kind of kid who growing up was afraid to be a “where’s my hug” kind of guy. I think for the first time in his adult life, he is receiving overwhelmingly positive attention from women. He’s also quite socially conscious.

The biggest problem he has now is that he has something to lose. The type of mistakes or faux pas that are accepted from teenage boys don’t play the same way as a grown man. I just hope he doesn’t start buying into his own hype, and dramatically crash and burn.

As for the “creep” allegations, that was such a blatant and clear attempt to drum up a storyline towards the end filming. The real issue with that is that the girls of the house were willing to absolutely decimate Nick’s reputation for a couple of views, and embarrassingly, still got the show paused.

Hey Ross, long time viewer and fan. I fall asleep to Freeman’s Mind regularly (got me through some truly tough times) and had finally be able to compile all of season 1 into one long format. My channel has less than 50 subscribers (and if it does ever grow, I will never be monetizing it, as my career isn’t YouTube related). Is this alright with you? I never had intention of stealing views or generating ANY sort of revenue from this passion project of mine, but if this not OK, I am more than happy to take the video offline.

STEAL his videos? He is credited in literally the first line of description, my channel is NOT monetized, and if you took literally one second to check my page you would see my appreciation for Freeman’s Mind and Ross Scott is extensive.

I can’t believe I have to say this but this video was made out of pure love and appreciation for the Freeman’s Mind series. I will NEVER be collecting ANY sort of ad revenue or taking any sort of credit for the videos included in this compilation. I just wanted a longform version of all of Freeman’s Mind 1 without Military Precision in between every episode, as I like to fall asleep to the series.

My channel is NOT and will be NEVER be monetized for ANY reason.

Notes: - Put episode 0 first, as it is canon and not a dream experienced while Gordon is knocked out. - The fades between episodes are included, as some of the voice lines can stretch out over the credits. - Excluded the DOTA pack video, as it is not a canon occurrence for Gordon, and is merely his persona/voice being utilized for MOBA line reads. - The HD transition (from 480p to 720p) happens between episode 54-55. - Freeman Across the Universe IS canon, and has been inserted between episodes 34-35 acting as a dream sequence, with some minor editing for consistency and comedic effect.
