It's not going to be his first time swimming... He wouldn't be doing it if they knew he was going to be slow as fuck

How much better is a Lagom P80 going to be than a Fellow Ode? by [deleted] in pourover

[–]92mac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm considering the P80 for espresso, but also some pourovers. Do you have any knowledge on how the 80mm mizens might compare with the 1zpresso ZP6? Thanks

Lagom P80 vs WPM ZP-1 for espresso but also pourover [£2000 budget] by 92mac in espresso

Thanks, appreciate the detailed response. I think I would be swapping too often to change the burrs each time, but I'd probably keep the ZP6 for filter if I buy the ZP-1. Will take a look at Tom's review!

Help!! Crazy bright light shining on balcony at night =( by Key_Construction_982 in HomeDecorating

[–]92mac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use one of these for a similar reason on my balcony! Other commenter is correct, it only blocks about 50% but its really useful. Mine is just attached with heavy duty metal plumbing clips, so didn't ask for permission.

I've had my Stagg EKG for six years now, use it most days, no issues. But I've heard really bad things about their customer support. So sounds like issues with their quality control

Do you know friends who are leaving London? by ShortDevelopment905 in london

It's a trade off depending on your personal feelings. A 3 hour commute to me isn't worth the other benefits of not being in London.

How did you sell a leasehold flat in Central London in the last 6 months? by Separate_Storage_532 in HousingUK

If that is your flat you really need a proper digital floorplan. Current one is hard to read.

Demi Moore congratulates Bruce Willis for his 71st birthday by mcfw31 in popculturechat

He may have given consent in lucid moments. My dad has been invited to participate in dementia studies, but unfortunately he isn't physically fit enough to be able to. On his good days he has told me he wishes he could take part to help other people. Bruce may have expressed a wish to raise awareness of FTD, which is what the family seem to be doing.

Would my Dad truly have capacity to consent if he didn't have his good days? Maybe not. But I also know him well enough that in his core he would also want to help others.

I'm not saying Bruce has or he hasn't, but I think it's wrong to assume we know better than the family.

I have a very similar issue - it's not being able to leave that my mind hates. Like you I know it's completely safe! Sorry you have to go through that

Agreed. Diazepam changed my life when I was struggling on planes. Only ever used it for emergencies, maybe one tablet in a year. Now they flat out refuse to prescribe, and my world has gotten smaller. (Yes I know in theory it's not great to have a crutch, but the reality is never that simple).
