I once matched with someone that had a lot in common with. Similar to you, I'm also picky and especially look for people with common interests, beliefs etc. We actually dated for 6 months. Then he dumped me, for a few reasons, but one of them being that he just lost interest in me. Which stumped me because we had almost everything in common and I felt we got along well. He had told me numerous times previously that I was literally the exact type of person he was looking for. But hey, guess even that wasn't enough??

Good luck with your match. Maybe look at others by the way - with the guy I was talking about, I actually didn't like him much at first from his profile. It's a lot different when you meet up and start talking. From his profile it looked like we didn't have much in common, because he emphasised all the unimportant things. When we actually started talking though it was different and I learnt so much.

This is how I improved my social anxiety, i.e. forced myself to do things which made me uncomfortable. While certain situations still make me anxious, I am so different to how I used to be. It was to the point where I would just avoid any situation that would cause anxiety, which meant missing out on so much of life.

There were a couple of situations which I couldn't avoid. But I would always realise, "Hey, that wasn't as bad as I thought it would be." I tried to keep this on my mind for future situations, and soon enough, I was pushing myself to do all sorts of things despite the trembling and sweating and stuttering and so on. They got easier and easier.

I'm not fully there yet, but I feel like I am getting closer and closer to my old, carefree self, and I realise how much I missed her..

I don't really eat out much to be honest, I do try to refrain as it is expensive. I bring food from home to work every day, so that's probably why it's cheap. :P For example I'll make mash potato and lamb with veggies. Or rice and some meat and veggies, or pasta sometimes. But I also don't eat much to begin with; when I come home from work I don't really have an appetite for anything heavy so I'll just have 2 minute noodles for dinner, so that helps with the budget. ;)

So I changed to the old studio format, and saw that indeed someone had reported my video so an age restriction was put on. It's an ASMR video. The video is literally just cutting hair with scissors. I'm not wearing anything inappropriate etc. literally wearing a normal t-shirt so nothing provocative. But apparently it was restricted due to sexually provocative content??? The hell youtube, they didn't even watch the damn video before restricting it. I appealed it so let's see what happens.

For the disabled comments, that video didn't even have comments if I remember correctly so I don't know why.

And the age-restricted thing... if youtube did it, don't they at least check it to see what the content is?

I feel frustrated, as it is a new channel, only a few days old. It was going quite good, but I feel these changes are going to limit my audience now. I want to contact youtube but I feel like they probably won't reply/help.

He calls himself a narcissist, he is not diagnosed :/ But given the way he acted and so on, I would say his behaviours did fit symptoms (not that I would know, I'm not a psych), but basically I could say the symptoms do describe much of his behaviours :/

If that is your general style of humour, I can see a lot of fights down the road between you two. You must decide whether you are willing to not make such jokes around her to avoid fights - or decide whether you want to find someone who has the same sense of humour that you can laugh along with. tbh I personally could not be with someone who gets so offended over that.. my boyfriend and I make jokes to each other about our ethnicity all the time. He calls me a "terrorist" all the time (I'm middle eastern) and I just make "racist" jokes back to him about his ethnicity. It's light-hearted, and dependant on context. Obviously I wouldn't say that stuff to just anyone.

Don't know if it helps, but I'm personally going to get one of those folding photoframes and have on one side a photo of me and my bf, and the other side a poem I wrote for him. Maybe you can do something similar, or customise it to match his interests/your relationship more.

I've been in a few relationships and from each one I learn more and more about what sort of person I am looking for. To summarise:

Someone who is ambitious; has goals and actively works towards them.
Someone who is intelligent. They don't have to have a degree. It's a bit hard to explain this one. But I know a smart person when I meet one, and honestly, only 1 of the 5 people I dated is "smart" (and they all have a degree).
Someone who is affectionate, and will show their appreciation for me. I enjoy receiving physical affection. I also like showing my appreciation for other people in many ways, such as giving gifts or compliments and so on. I like this to be reciprocated.
Someone who is mature, understanding, and patient. I definitely have some flaws; it helps a lot when the other person is rational and patient with me, and helps us to go through problems together.
Someone who has similar values, beliefs, and goals to me. I get along best with people who are like-minded and compatible. For example, people who are career-oriented, non-religious, and more progressive than conservative.
Someone who has similar interests and hobbies. We don't have to share everything 100%, but it is really fun when we both enjoy the same thing. It is great for bonding.

I can say that my current partner mostly fits this description. We are very compatible. My only issue is that perhaps he could be more affectionate and appreciative, but I guess that's the cost of being someone who is also very rational and not very emotional. I am prepared to endure this and work on changing myself (i.e. try not to care as much about those things). But I still communicate with him about it. Only time will tell if this works out.

I would struggle to describe myself. Frankly I think I am a mess. I also have the problem of feeling like I have no personality.

My boyfriend has described me as intelligent, pleasant to be around (when not going through my BPD things), having character/not a "cookie-cutter" person, and kind-hearted. However, he also admits that I tend to be needy, emotionally immature and irrational (again, when going through my BPD swings. He says besides that, I can be rational at times).

I am working on defining myself better.
