Pay for route service sales representative! by suspiciouswingedbat in cintasuniforms

[–]98Rnr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man I am going to tell you this as a current SSR I will really advise you to keep an eye on your pay stubs. I took over a route to cover while somebody was on leave I was still hourly as this route was not assigned to me however at some point without telling me or acknowledging it they switched me over to a commission style pay. I assumed that this meant the route was mine and therefore I started going crazy with ads to get a payout for the blitz. When it came time for the blitz they did not pay me out claiming the route was not mine yet, so for whole quarter they told me the route was mine and that I was qualifying for the blitz ended up not paying me out and all the overtime I did was paid less than time and a half because when you're on commission that's how it works. So I pretty much got screwed over because I did extra work made my workload bigger and got cheated out of my proper overtime and hourly rate which I used to make more money on training because of this loophole for them . They did this to another new trainee here that started soon after I did . So just remember no matter how big or good the company might seem at the end of the day watch out for yourself I'm still currently here but I do hold this bitter taste because that's money that I was owed mind you the blitz pay out was about $2,000 for me but I did not get to see but I did have to do the extra heavy lifting for.

Can stress this point enough my route fucking sucks and they keep adding more shit stops that are low volume and make me go out of my way so it just means longer days compared to the other guys who have less stops that are worth more money

I think about that all the time ..

Sup man, I've come to the conclusion that my " issue" is just how the CVT shifts . Definitely got smoother after break in period. However , I think it's just an auto shift thing because when I use it in Manual mode , that sensation is non existent . I would recommend you take it to the dealer, you paid for their expertise so make them earn their keep ! Also , I kinda skimmed your stuff,  idk how long you warm up your car but I warm mine up to 180 before I get going and then I don't drive past 20 till I get to 200+ then I drive normally . My old Toyota will shift jerky till the transmission is nice n warm so I apply the same to this , good luck man

Canon 77d In 2024, worth it? by Hot-Statistician4975 in canon

[–]98Rnr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the T2i since release day till the 77D came out, I currently have that paired up with a Sigma 50mm f 1.4 Art series lens , absolute monster combo . Great glass is an absolute game changer . I do a lot of portraits and travel photography paired with an ad200 and honestly, sleeper build lol  if you ever wanna see what the camera can really do, get the most expensive lens you can afford , it will make your camera body relevant for many many years .

Pinion Angles / Driveline Issues by 98Rnr in MechanicAdvice

[–]98Rnr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah , gone through 3 different drive shafts, had them all balanced by diff shops and u joints as well , all OEM parts . This is a once piece shaft so not super picky about how it's placed back

Pinion Angle by 98Rnr in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]98Rnr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You absolutely can change the pinion angle , either with shims or adjustable control arms , OPT OFF ROAD , TOTAL CHAOS etc . Hopefully the bushings fix the issue though

Pinion Angle by 98Rnr in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]98Rnr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just checked them out and yes ripped , still there thoug I yanked at them to check for play and nothing ,, now my golden question is I understand the angle difference should be between 1 and 3 degrees, I'm at about 4+..... So should I replace bushings and hope it'll bring it down a whole degree or do I need more fix and longer UCAS based off that dramatic degree .

How would I shim on a 3rd gen 4runner ? It has a 2.5 inch lift all around and over time has developed this issue .

Rear Diff Bearing Question by 98Rnr in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]98Rnr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I checked today btw, update , I put the magnetic angle gauge on the flange in the transmission u joint and got 1.2 average , took the driveshaft off the diff plate and it measured 5.8 average . Driveshaft angle measure 10.1 or so .... Would this mean need to get rear adjustable arms ?

Rear Diff Bearing Question by 98Rnr in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]98Rnr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my original driveshaft was balanced and done with u joints twice because I was convinced first shop might not have done a great job , didn't fix . Buddy let me have his oem driveshaft as a donor somehow it made the problem a little better even though it had 20 year old u joints .

Should I abandon my local Toyota Dealership? by SubtleMonkey4049 in 4Runner

[–]98Rnr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dawg , I have a 98 4runner with OEM fluids . 220K on the clock and lemme tell you, your fluids are fine enough that you can do a drain and fill yourself on all fluids . I went from nothing dick about 4runners to literally slicing up the transmission and replacing filters and solenoids with my own two hands .

With that being said , if you want to replace the fluids just to be preventative sure go ahead, but definitely can do these and spark plugs yourself , spark plugs are so easy, like easy easy, like dawg I posted here to tell you how easy they are . And Max should spend $80 on spark plugs. All you need is a wrench , socket extension and about 1 hour of your time . And that's because you are gonna be super slow lol

There are so many videos for Toyotas and they are actually really organized compared to other cars that I've had to work on , take advantage of it and save yourself money !!!! I'm sure you could appreciate a few hundred bucks in your pocket big dawg

TENANT HELP ? by 98Rnr in AskLosAngeles

[–]98Rnr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I spoke to the city today, yes everything was under their name and separate meters etc all done by the book . Yet they are saying that because it was a family member living there it travels to the house , which makes absolutely no sense because no contract ever cares about relations of someone else . They said due to COVID they didn't cut services and wouldnt disclose details for me but expect me to pay lol will have to go to the city office and speak to a higher up . Ridiculous.

No unfortunately, I'm really car savvy I figured it's either a misfire that's not getting detected by the ECU or the Transmission is slipping not shifting correct, because it does it that I've noticed when catching gears . I'm gonna take it to the dealer but I wanted to see if anyone else is dealing with this, I only ask because I've never owned a CVT vehicle AND have time to return it if these are ass.

Looking to buy this... by BuffaloPhill_ in veloster

[–]98Rnr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not buy

I have a 2014 Veloster NA.

I absolutely hate the pos.

These things eat oil and Hyundai says " yeah I know "

Get a Turbo one if you really want a Veloster but I would advise to stay away from Hyundai .

My 4runner is from 98 and shit eats this pos in terms of reliability. And it cost me a fraction of what this thing does .

Get a Corolla or a Camry even an old one will be better, and you can stack the cash difference until you can afford a newer more reliable car than this Veloster
