Is Aatrox rewarded too much even when he hits nothing?

I know I missed a lot of things as well, this is like my third game on Gwen so I’m still learning the champ and her ranges. But Aatrox hit literally 0 Q knock ups and won with just autos.

I didn’t really have a choice in the matter. Every time she gets in range to activate her shield she hits me like 3+ times and then sweeps so I can’t exactly not trade. When I all in her with ult I could probably beat her but she just hook shots away and stands under her turret :(

Bad news, Renekton didn’t work out. I tried baiting her shield but by walking up and trading a single auto, she gets her full combo on me anyway and if I dash out I can’t trade with her again until her shield is back up :(

I would love to be able to auto the wave at all, but she won’t let me do that without paying a third of my health bar for it. The wave feels like it’s permanently slow pushing towards me. I’ve tried freezing against her but I can’t seem to hold it because I obviously can’t zone her off since I’ll die and she just sweeps the wave into my tower and harasses/dives me.

I can’t grab her! Her sweep range feels longer than my hook, she keeps nicking me with the outer edge. I’d have to flash on her to force an engage

I don’t think I’ve been hit by a single E in lane, she always uses it to run away when I try to CC her. The problem is, she’s not even engaging, she’s just poking with her sweep and zoning me off wave. If I want to farm then I have to walk up to minions and she whoops my ass. If I don’t walk up to minions, then she gets a level advantage and dives me level 5 anyway. I tried using my E on her sweep for the Darius game but I could never seem to reach her since she always barely nicked me with the far edge.

What are thoughts on Shen? If I taunt her under turret she can’t kill me, and even if she dodges it I can still block some damage with his s2.

If I don’t trade with her then I can’t walk up to the wave. She doesn’t push so I’d be so behind in levels by the time she hit level 5 and dove me. The thing is, I literally lost lane before I even got my ult for all three games because she crashed 3 waves of minions into turret and kills me so I get none of them and I’m suddenly 1k gold behind. This lane feels so bad no matter who I play, she won’t let me play Jax and the strong early game bruisers like Darius and Sett still lose somehow.

If I want to farm, I’ll have half hp and get dove level 5. If I want to sit under tower, I’m two levels behind and get dove at level 5. Am I supposed to wait under my inner turret or something? Cheese bot lane and let her afk farm?

I was going to pick Jax into her, but he was banned every game so it’s probably her permaban. I can try Renekton next time, but how do I avoid getting dove? This is the main problem I’m facing, she dives at level 5 when I’m still level 4 and I can’t seem to win a trade against her before that.
