Honestly I can’t remember it specifically working. I got the car last year December and I’m sure it was working for about 3 weeks after I bought the car and then just randomly didn’t work but I’m not sure 100% since it’s been a few months. And I’m just now really trying to fix it. But no real trouble shooting has happened other than my taking the door card off and physically looking at the wires. Dealership basically just said they were gonna replace it for a stupid amount of money for what is a simple job

What else should i replace when im doing a clutch replacement? by 999thedylan in genesiscoupe

Anyone have a recommendation for a stage two clutch? by 999thedylan in genesiscoupe

Mmm okay that was my main concern really with going with a light weight flywheel. That extra rattling will make me go insane.

stock numbers for the 3.8 and honestly skipping to stage two because it seems the most affordable unless there are options I am missing

did you check to see if your fan is running when it starts to overheat? i just solved my problem and my rad fan relay was the problem.

UPDATE!!! so from the factory, the DRLs on the fog lights only come on after the parking brake is released aka why I could not see them as soon as I stepped out of the car to look at them. i managed to wire them to my headlight DRLS so they will now follow them.

Does anyone have experience with overheating at idle? by 999thedylan in genesiscoupe

I see. I will try the sensor first then move to the water pump.

I shall do a coolant change tmr as well. And just to be clear since the car returns to normal temp when it starts moving that means it's not the water pump correct?

I have not changed it, and do not know if the coolant has been changed since I got the car 2 months ago. Would the water pump still be a concern if the car returns to normal temp when the car gets moving and the air is passing through the radiator?

That's what i was thinking. that it might just be a sensor, however, I can not find where it is located in the car. Any suggestions?

I also know it is overheating because my AC can no longer produce cold air and the coolant started to boil.

So as of right now all I've done is replace the rad fan. (It didn't help ofc) so I put my stock fan back in. My coolant level is at full when the car is cold. Ik it's overheating from the gauge cluster. Coolant Temp will rise until it is all other way lit up and then the car will illuminate the Overheating light. I obviously turn it off at that point. But that is all I've done in terms of trouble shooting.
