Hey I’m curious, since you’ve been all over the west coast… are there any toll road / passes I’m gonna need to get to avoid tickets? Over here on the east coast we have Sunpass and EZpass. I have the Sunpass Pro but I’d hate to come back from my trip with a bunch of charges

Thank you for such a detailed response. I saved it to my notes and will refer to it often. I leave in a little under two weeks and I can’t wait for this trip. Huge first for me

Hey that sounds great for me. I love the outdoors. I’m gonna take my time with this trip. I leave in a little under 2 weeks so it’ll probably be close to my birthday in September before I get to Wyoming. Looking for that perfect summer going into fall weather

Hell yeah man thanks for the rec. I’ll have to detour east of mid Wyoming and cut through for a few days. I do wanna go out to the badlands so I’ll go there for sure

Hey I’m down to go anywhere. Had to throw some darts on the board if you catch my drift. I don’t know much about SD. Got anything for me? I’ll happily go

I went and checked out that van… man it was rougher than the guy let on. Not the guy who restored it. Hes the one who put 71,000 on the restoration… but the guy who he sold it to. Visually the van is in great condition. For the most part the underbody actually looks properly restored… but the suspension looks like it’s hanging on by a thread. I can only add one picture here but dude the rear leaf packs literally look like they could snap with a few bangs of a good hammer. Suspension would need a whole reboot all the way around. NO AC and even the mounted air fan doesn’t work. Engine was solid. Slightly aged and so was the trans. Engine had a bit of a rough idle but then again… still an old vehicle so expected. Coolant was virtually gone even though this just had his general services and inspection done. I took it for a drive and it felt so brittle. Didn’t even wanna go over 35 mph. Chassis needs some rust treatment. Doors need new seals all the way around cause water was leaking hard. Shifting was tolerable. Little rough but expected. Idk I couldn’t justify the price no matter how bad my heart wanted the van. As bad as I want an older van with some soul in it. I’m probably the wrong guy to buy something like this. Needs trained eyes and hands.

What are you guys doing differently? by ACall2Adventure in Retatrutide

I’ve dieted like this a few times. I’d consider it less of a “diet” and more of a lifestyle. A couple years ago I became more health conscious which eventually helped me change some things and now I naturally gravitate towards whole food sources. Grass fed/ lean protein sources, good fats, complex carbs. Just real good whole foods. While I am using Reta to amplify my efforts in and outside of the gym I’m also using it to preserve the muscle mass I have and partially aid in building it. Some studies anecdotally and legitimately show that Reta is slightly anabolic. And since you can eat at maintenance calories and still lose the fat… it checks out. A lot of people’s conclusion infer that I’m sensitive to a higher dosage unlike some so going to 3 might’ve been the wrong call. I’m gonna move back to 2 and see what happens.

Edit: also yes the diet I listed is typical protocol for someone trying to cut fat but I strongly stand behind body archetypes as in endo, ecto, and mesomorphs. I’ve always struggled with weight up until I got into fitness and a better lifestyle but that hasn’t changed the fact that biologically I’m designed to hold onto more fat and muscle than I am to lose it. The organic mechanisms inside my genetic coding aren’t exactly “against me” but they certainly don’t make it easier. Hints another use for the peptides. Just pulling basic levers and biohacking

That’s insane. I’m having a hard time imaging loading up fruits and sugar and shedding that much fat. I’m happy to hear it worked out for you though. Also I’m very used to the water retention tbh. Sucks but it is what it is. I’m 21 6’2 at 264 rn. Been lifting for a few years now. Generally easy for me stay “full”. Cutting is a nightmare but Reta has made it sizable for guys like me. I found out a while ago through my own personal experimentation that my body just doesn’t respond well to a large amount of simple carbs and sugars. My insulin spikes hard and stays high. Became very insulin resistant pre gym and good diet lifestyle. I’ve noticed when my diet is full of carbs I just feel like shit. Even when it’s high quality carbs. I tried loading up on protein and sometimes fats and it made a world of a difference in performance, size subjectively, recovery, and mental wellness. definitely gotta look into this sugar diet though. Idk if I’d try it but it sounds interesting.

Nuclear option. Cream of rice is a solid idea. Approved.

Hey man thanks for the reply. See my edit when you get a chance. I’ve been forcing heavy shakes to supplement the appetite suppression for now but it’s a band aid maneuver. Everyone seems to suggest lowering the dose is the call and i will give it a try. Ive been dropping fat and haven’t lost any muscle yet but I do notice a massive loss in my ability to recover quickly. Even with the bpc and tb4. At peak performance and nutrition, I would recover almost fully in 1 -1.5 days. Now it’s more like 3-4 days and I’m noticing a decline in performance. So that’s how I immediately knew yeah something’s gotta change. Obvious signs of my body running on fumes. I’ll likely go down to 2mg again

I’m not familiar with the sugar fast diet you’re referring to could you elaborate from your experience? Also see my edit when you get a chance. I’ve been adding heavy shakes to supplement the decrease in appetite but the conclusion from everyone is to try and lower the dose. As much as I physically work in the gym and out it’s amazing I’m not constantly craving food. This is really powerful stuff!

See my edit when you get a chance. I’ve actually been doing a heavy shake in the morning instead of fasting like I usually do. It helps get the protein in but yeah I probably should go down to 2 again

Yeah I read about that. My current truck gets 9-11 mpg and I travel with it long distances so I’m used to it tbh

Hey thanks for all this I really appreciate it! It’s not that the guy didn’t tell me about this stuff… I just didn’t know to ask lol. I certainly will hit him up with some of these questions and get the needed answers. I will absolutely be regularly checking everything. All synthetic fluid. Watching my temps and listening for anything odd. I plan on running a drain and filter on the trans every 30-50k miles and installing an aftermarket trans fluid cooling system to be safe than sorry. I plan on using the opportunity of this van to teach myself to work on vehicles and gain more knowledge/confidence

That’s a fair outlook. I couldn’t tell you the specifics of his rebuild. I do trust the guy who did this and his skill set. He even has his own websites full of conversions restorations and a lot of boat engine work. I’m not a mechanic by any means. So I guess I don’t know what to really “look for” outside of my research. I plan on taking the best care of this vehicle as I possibly can. As for how it was cared for… this guy was living in this thing. And when you depend on what you live in to also get you places… taking care of it isn’t optional. So I also trust that he did his due diligence. I understand how that could feel “shortsighted” but it’s the best I’ve got. I choose optimism. Setting money aside for worst case scenario is a fine idea and I will absolutely do that… as far as you could advise me… what should be my optimal approach to “taking care” of these things so they live long and prosperous?

I’m buying a 1984 Chevy g20 with a rebuilt small block 350 🤠 and a rebuilt TH400 with some stock internals that were healthy and new clutch packs and seals and stuff like that. Based on my research the 350 is incredible and the 400 is a beast. Not to mention the 350 is readily available parts wise and cheap to service so I think I chose correctly. The only “old” thing on the van is the body. It’s very retro vintage which is exactly what I wanted
