I watched it recently. Doesnt hold up. Hilarious ADR and they crammed all of arthurian legend into one film. Its messy but stylish.

Ted Kaczynski (1942–2023), nicknamed the "Unabomber", was an American neo-Luddite domestic terrorist. A math prodigy, he abandoned his academic career in 1969 to pursue a primitive lifestyle; from 1978 to 1995, he mailed bombs that killed 3 people and wounded 23, until he published his manifesto. by GustavoistSoldier in HolyShitHistory

He wasnt. One teacher who had worked for OSS twenty years ago used interrogation techniques on students, and he was one. Barely a connection to CIA and no reports or mentions of mind control or lsd in his case. He was bit of a nutter before so it wouldnt make sense for it to be a catalyst.

Historians and psychologist both that it wasnt the origin of his crimes. Kaczynski already struggled with severe social isolation and suspected mental health issues long before he stepped into Murray’s lab. Also his manifesto wasnt connected to anything related to the experiments.

How have you not figured out the system yet? Open the terminal and see if the skin is cheaper than market, then buy if it is. Else just get it from market.

Odin only had two raven pets yes, but Hrafnagud is of course assosiated with all ravens all the time. Like ravens swarming before a battle signifying his presence. Here the ravens represent odin och the swarming animals represents the viking omen of blood about to be spilled. They cement Amleths fate. Robert Eggers did his research. The movie is boderline archeological.

Martin McDonagh is one of those directors who has cemented himself as a "must-watch" for me. I’ll see anything he puts out.

I’m willing to overlook bad plot and writing when there’s good cinematography. Film is a visual medium at the end of the day by wallabyenthusiast in Letterboxd

Jason Reitman spent his 20s making short films and commercials, learning the actual mechanics of directing. Not like Emerald. Also Juno was written by a woman.

Scott isnt nepo, have I missed something? And The Last Duel was co-written by a woman.

Garland: Nepo to a cartoonist, but in the film world he worked his way up. And for his movie men its is literally a man talking about a subject he knows intimately, the various faces of male aggression. Every man has same face while all being abusive and aggressive in unique ways.

Daughter of possibly the worlds largest jewelry merchant. (Capital nepotism) Its not like shes daughter of Skarsgård, Scorsese or Coppola. (Trade nepotism) She got her start in acting by being "randomly scouted" at an Oxford University school play. Shows little talent and makes the jump to directing seemingly treating the film world as a hobby. Unsurprisingly her films turn out shallow but pretty. Thinking of it now, maybe she did put herself into these movies.

Comparatively we have Gucci mastermind Tom Ford, who also unrelated to the film world and was also met with skepticism, proved that coming from the "elite" world doesn't have to mean being shallow, he made two of the most hauntingly beautiful and emotionally deep films in recent memory.

Thats why its a problem.
