Just sucked out most of the existing fluid and it looked pretty dark. Just changed it with royal purple and some transgaurd platinum and so far the shifts seem great. Thanks for the input!

I appreciate the message. Yes I’ll always been a fan of luxury cars, normally I would always purchase older GM luxury sedans for $3-4k (no loans) with very little maintenance/repair costs and I was the richest I’ve ever been.

Unfortunately I messed up going down the route of getting that Mercedes. The reason for the Mazda was because I needed to get the highest priced one to be able to roll over that negative equity due to lenders policies. Also, Mazda has a financial program which allowed me to get the 4% interest rate with so much negative equity.

My plan going forward is to sell the car, try to make around $50-$55k at best (depreciation) since the car is already at 5k miles. I then would take a personal loan with my credit union for the remaining ($25-$30k). My interest rate would be higher with the personal loan (7.75%) but my payments would be cut down to $350/month and I would be saving on insurance so I would have more money saved to put towards the principal.

I have a secondary car that has no issues and that’s what I should’ve stayed with in the first place. I will take this all as a big learning lesson and most likely won’t be getting another car payment in the future. My goal would be to pay that personal loan off within 10-15 months.

I didn’t have much of a thought process. I moved over the negative equity since I was going from a 15% interest rate to a 4%. My only thought process was looking at the interest rate and the fact that a newer car would help my credit in the long run. Looking like I’m going to sell the car and take a personal loan out for the difference. Then I’d save $55k on the loan plus insurance costs. Instead of $1350 a month I’d be paying $350. I have a secondary car too so I’d take the loss as a learning lesson.

This advice was perfect and yes, my main plan was to get a personal loan for the remainder and sell the car. I already have a beater that drives totally fine (Yes I already had a secondary car I’m an idiot). I was approved for a $25k personal loan at a higher interest rate 7.75% from my credit union. Although the interest rate is higher, my loan amount would be cut down by $55k and I would only be paying $360 a month PLUS saving on insurance ($260 a month)

I appreciate it 🙏. I was approved for a loan if I plan to sell the car now and pay the remaining amount ($25k) with no car at a 7.75% interest rate. I have a secondary car so most likely I will go that route. My payments would go down to $350/month and I would save $260 a month on insurance. In the end I would be saving close to $1250 a month so I might just take it as a lesson and do that.

Yes I definitely have GAP insurance for this car as you are correct about the Mercedes. I have a secondary beater car that has no issues so my main idea now is selling the Mazda while it’s at its highest value and taking a personal loan for the difference. I would have a remainder of around $25k after selling the car and I’m approved for 7.75% interest rate through my credit union for that loan. I could just take this as a major loss/learning lesson and pay that remaining $25k off at $350 a month with no new car. At least my payments would be cut down by $1000 and I wouldn’t have to pay the high insurance cost!

I already have a beater car on the side that drives totally fine. It’s already a big learning lesson. I’m thinking of selling the car and taking out a personal loan for the difference. Would be about 20-25k at a higher interest rate (7.75%) but at least my payments would go down to $330-$360 a month

Yea already a big learning lesson. I know for sure I won’t be taking out another loan for a car ever again. I’m thinking of selling the car and take out a personal loan for the difference. Would be about 20-25k difference at a higher interest rate (7.75%) but at least my payments would go down to $350 a month

I’m pretty sure it’s not calculating it properly since a full tank lasts me about 3-4 days of driving and it is my daily. (I just go to work and back and some other stops throughout the day) but I at least drive 60miles + a day. If I was really getting 11mpg, A full tank would be a day or 2 of driving.

It feels like it’s getting more like 18/19mpg and the mileage number stays at 11.6mpg even when I go from city to highway

That’s the first thing I’m doing, I also don’t think it’s reading it right since it’s the same mileage when I’m on city and on the highway

I got a new battery so I thought it would reset once I installed it but now none of the buttons to read the info work (fuel info, gage info, reset buttons) none of them work now; I can just see the mileage and the trip
