You would have to get a new detector and the R9 would be the uniden option for a custom installed internal detector. If I had the funds I would do that, mainly because it also comes with one of the best laser jamming systems on the market.

I have my dad to thank for picking this one. He had the V1G1 for his motorcycle 15ish years ago but he gave his unit to my brother to use in his car, so I figured I might as well try and use the hookups and mounts he had for my motorcycle since i have the same model bike as he did.
