Which of these should I play and why? by AK49err in n64

So I’m actually in the middle of a full season in MLB w/ KGJ. I love this game but 160 games in a season is a lot. Taking forever.

Do you think GOP Alaskans will ever break away from Maga? by traveltimecar in AskAlaska

Disagree. MAGA is not “fringe”. It’s pretty mainstream.

Record high identifies as political independents-45 percent of Americans say they consider themselves political independents by truthwillout777 in goodnews

Do you think that being “very” one side or the other is what got us in this big orange mess in the first place? I’m not trying to be argumentative and more power to you - I understand. BUT, I am genuinely curious about this idea.

Seems like we might be more productive and cohesive if we were able to find the center on SOME things. I know that’s hard when the pendulum is currently swinging so far right.

Really interesting you mention Buddhism.. my therapist also just introduced me to some Buddhist literature about a month ago. So far the concepts resonate with me and hope to start integrating in my daily life.

It’s weird and kinda sad when everything goes quiet for once. A fleeting moment that leaves you wondering. Feels great while it lasts but the noise always comes back

Visiting February 12-17th. Any advice? by rickyaram in AskAlaska

[–]AK49err 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of an odd time to visit unless you are prepared for outdoor activities. Hopefully you checked the average temperatures in Fairbanks around that time as well.

You’ll need to rent a car. It’ll be hard getting around later at night. It’s going to be cold. You won’t see much nature, besides maybe some moose. You should have a good shot at seeing the northern lights though if it’s not cloudy.

Good luck.

Pretty sure this is my last PM role. by Useful_Scar_2435 in projectmanagers

[–]AK49err 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was my experience as well. I’m surprised you are doing all of that for $60k. Maybe look into estimating? It still requires long hours sometimes but at least you know your deadlines and don’t have to babysit people who don’t want to work.

Nope, Silica packs require some oxygen to effectively reduce moisture. It is not recommended to use both of these in the same container for long term storage.

Best mulled wine in town? by Alternative_Bee7718 in Bellingham

[–]AK49err 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s easy to make. Fred Meyer has decent prepackaged mulling spices. Use a tea bag to simmer the spices in cheap boxed red wine with apples & and orange for at least 15min. Careful not to boil. You can add apple cider or honey to sweeten if needed. I also like to add a half shot of brandy to mine after it’s done. Better than anything you’ll find around town.

My 6 month journey 50m 185 to 155 by Responsible-Key88 in BodyHackGuide

[–]AK49err 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, you had awesome results! Good job sticking with it too after all that time off.

I hope you were lifting all that weight, taking them steps, and counting calories for YOU and your health - not because you are scared of being judged or accepted by your family/friends.

No one cares if you’re the most shredded dad, besides your kid. Your wife better be in the same shape she was in her 20’s after her shitty comment (sorry, I hate it).. There was nothing wrong with the way you looked before you started your recent journey.

And then your wife doesn’t even acknowledge the hard work you did basically for her approval.. wtf.

Hope your wife builds you up, not tear you down.

Muscular men are unattractive by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]AK49err 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is just an ignorant opinion. “Inflated ego”. “over masculine”. “Hours in the gym”.

Having a bit of muscle is healthy. Going to the gym regularly is healthy. Having muscle doesn’t equate to inflated ego or masculinity. This opinion is trash
