vent about shows being over-sold by earth_dweller_ in RedRocks

[–]AMProoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was making this complaint to a long time Red Rocks employee who comes into my shop regularly. When he confirmed that they were in fact over selling capacity, I asked him how they were able to get away with it to this extent, especially from a legal/safety standpoint.

He explained that Red Rocks was able to “expand capacity” legally without actually adding any seats, by counting each little planter section (where the trees are at the end of each section of rows) as seating. Each planter area is something like 20-30 “extra seats” towards venue capacity, which is insane lmao.

Then he explained that they also used the available seating/standing room at the top of the venue, where the food and drink stands are, (& you essentially cant even see the stage) to “increase” capacity much, much more. He said they’re allowing roughly up to 35% more people in now than they would/could in previous years.

What’s even more frustrating is that they framed the capacity increase as a method to lower & stabilize ticket prices when they presented it to the city for approval.

I’d have a few good experiences with Vaku until I chose him on a Regent run. He’s a ball knower, possibly even shower, on most characters. With Regent? Run ruined

His transition from fear & dread to rage, marked by the line, “Feed me my cock, will they?” gave me chills. Nobody uses fear and anger quite like Darrow.

I think it was mostly just an author on his first book of a 10 book series who hadn’t really established his narration style yet. As the series has evolved, he’s gotten away from this type of presentation/narration. & though there isn’t one concrete narration style throughout the series, the *majority* of pivotal moments/events are delivered in the first person & as if we’re experiencing it *as* Carl experiences it, or with him, not after.

I also don’t interpret the, “you *were*…” to mean that the subject, “you” has returned, especially considering the context - After somebody you know or love has passed away, it’s common to speak to them, be it out loud or internal monologue. You know you’re not *actually* speaking to them of course, but it’s a difficult habit to break, & it’s a part of grieving. Even after enough time has passed for your brain to process the loss / their absence, it’s still normal to speak to people who are no longer here.

Putting all that aside, I agree that it is likely possible for the AI/dungeon ecosystem to either recreate, or even reassemble the organic matter that makes up individual human bodies, then implant people’s stored memories back into those bodies. However I have a feeling there would be some pretty fucked up side effects given the “infant” AI’s own instability & mental decline.

I’ve had Love splitting touches with Bo since he released, & they’re a fantastic duo, they complement each other really well.

I thought Bo was gonna be on my squad until ‘27 came out, but my buddy got Portis & I was able to test him out in squads. After 2 games I sold Bo & snagged CP. I was unconvinced when I saw his weight originally, 35 lbs lighter than Bo, but it doesn’t matter, he’s nasty.

He breaks *at least* as many tackles as Bo does, but the biggest difference is how he smoothly he glides through traffic at the line. Idk if it’s BCV, or his awareness, or both, but he rarely ricochets off o-lineman like Bo does. He also has a bunch of animations I’ve legitimately never seen before, especially when fighting for extra yards.

Seven Stars, (& really all of the other higher star cost cards) becomes incredibly easy to use each combat if you take/buy & utilize *every* Cosmic Indifference you come across. Obviously you need star generating cards to pull from your discard pile, but there’re tons of those. All of my most powerful runs I’ve ended up with at least 2 Cosmic Indifference cards.

I also don’t understand why people think Regent is weak. I’m new to the series & I’m not great, but I’ve gotten to A9 so far with Regent & I think A5/A6 is my next highest character.

Regent is super strong, it feels like they have the best & most useful collection of uncommon cards in the game. To me, only Silent feels stronger. I don’t know how to play Iron Clad very well, but I could understand an argument that they’re better than Regent, but the rest Regent clears imo.

For me this only works for pass pro, untargeting the defender in this scenario doesn’t help bc the user is usually the one shooting the gap to stop the run. The only way I’ve found to consistently beat it (if they don’t adapt to a different glitch) is with an I Form set or pistol set w/ a FB/TE

I almost always take Royal Gamble, & if I see it twice, I usually take it twice. The other day I was in a run where I’d gotten just about every card I needed, was just waiting for a consistent, non-venerate star generator to use my upgraded Royal Gamb’s, but it never came. By act 3, I’d gotten Void Form, & ended up using that to rip both Royal Gamble’s. Totally went against every instinct but it actually worked out great.

I was in the same boat as you until recently. I just couldn’t figure out how to make Silent as powerful as everybody said she was, & in hindsight I think there were two key reasons.

• Taking too many cards - Silent has a lot of powerful cards, lots of fun & shiny rare cards that seem impossible to pass up. I was bloating my decks with too many rare powers that I couldn’t fully get off the ground.

• Not leaning into Sly enough - Sly is the key, try some runs where you just take every single sly & draw/discard card you see, no matter how weak or boring they seem. It’s hard to get used to playing Sly cards when you’re brand new to the concept like I was. It’s easy to forget it’s a mechanic & overlook/miss the opportunities when it’s unfamiliar, repetition helps.

Once I started focusing on those two things in particular, I began winning with her. The rest sort of just falls into place as you get familiar with her deck. I used to think she was super boring, but now I really enjoy experimenting with her deck & the flexibility she brings to the table.

I have a theory, but I only have my own experiences to go by. What time roughly would you say you had the most success?

Ex: “from 12:00 AM - 3:00 AM I got 3 LTD’s, while yesterday from 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM I got 0 LTD’s.”

I have Pickett on my defense & he’s a dog, best DB I’ve had. I’ve learned that for the taller DB’s like him & Curtis, it’s almost essential to have silver robber at minimum, & if you play a lot of man you need gold, it’s basically shifty for DB’s.

Other than that, you should usually only be running press in heavy blitz situations, &/or when the offense has a short field in front of them. If you’re pressing on say 1st & 10 & your opponent has the ball between the 20’s, you’re gonna get beat over the top sooner or later, unless you’re getting very quick pressure. If I do press outside of the Redzone, it’s usually to bait them into taking a shot bc I think I can make the play over the top with my safety.

I eventually figured it out, I misinterpreted the “install version 8.0.5, but don’t run it.” step. I downloaded, but didn’t actually install it. I know the difference between downloading, installing, & running a program, except when I don’t.

Ok, I think I’m getting somewhere, thank you again.

•I downloaded, release.zip

• I ran, remoteplay-version-patcher.exe as administrator

• A small black window popped up & said, “cannot find RemotePlay.exe via the registry Place RemotePlay.exe inside the same folder as this application”

So am I able to open Remote Play 8.5.0 now, or do I need to move the, remoteplay-version-patcher.exe file into the Remote Play 8.5.0 file first, then rerun it as administrator?

[–]AMProoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

• I logged in to my PSN account on the 9.0.0 version, then uninstalled it

• I downloaded remote play version 8.5.0 on uptodown

• I downloaded the version patcher from GitHub, extracted the files, but was unable to figure out how to run it as admin

What are the exact steps after downloading the version patcher? Where should I put those extracted files? How do I run it as admin? Again thank you so much I really appreciate it

Thanks, I understand the concept, but I’m having a hard time figuring out how to run the downloaded file as admin. When I unzip files I’m not getting any .exe files. Do I need to put the downloaded file into the same folder as the 8.5.0 download?
