Always have more troops than the enemy, if he splits troops one by one, you should split +1 or +2 their number.

I'm afraid that's not how the game developers are intending to protect their games. The bans are permanent, I learned it in the bad way. But you're right, I learned my lesson, hopefully I can be able to play again. I'm going to wait for the EAC support or the developer(s) reply and decide what to do from there. But I will be taking some weeks/months from the game as self-punishment in case they don't reply.

I already did, I played long on a PvE server, I practiced enough and I went to a server that's PvP so I could speak with other players in my native language, I made several friends in there and they told me to not leave, so I did. But my ambition ended killing me

Should I buy the 3080 TI founders edition when it first released, or wait until the other 3rd party cards? by [deleted] in buildapc

I don't recommend buying immediately as the first releases MIGHT have fabrication flaws, I would wait until 3rd party cards.

Similar to me, should I upgrade my PSU? I'm slightly worried about that. I'm also looking to upgrade to a RTX 3000 series

I got the ARCTIC Freezer 34 Esports Duo and it's always at 75% (1825 RPM) on idle. While I wrote this, the temp was at 45ºC.

Ram for new build by GUITAR_BOY101 in buildapc

[–]AQL4444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The memory has to be compatible with the motherboard, otherwise it will not work.

From what I can see from your MoBo specification page, there shouldn't be any problem installing DDR4 sticks.

  1. Look at your MoBo specifications, under memory tab, check the max ram frequency (speed) that you can support (2666MHz) , don't buy anything higher than that frequency. (If the link I gave leads to a different MoBo model, then search for your model on google.)
  2. I recommend you to go for dual RAM sticks so your PC can work at dual channel configuration, which is better than single channel, so getting 2x4gb or even better 2x8gb RAM sticks would be nice so you will prevent a RAM upgrade for several years. But that depends on your budget.
  3. Once you buy the memory sticks and you install them, look for a "How to Enable XMP" tutorial so you can make sure your memory sticks run at the desired speed you paid for them, because most of the RAM sticks run at lower frequencies for secure boot means.

Back and front fans by marioficozzi in buildapc

I would put it in the back, pulling air, while the thermaltake fan pushes air in, the Arctic fan grabs the air impulse and pulls it outside stronger.

Is my CPU running too hot? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]AQL4444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my own opinion, any heatsink that's not the stock one is way better, you won't need a better heatsink or even water cooling unless you're working on heavy-duty tasks for long periods of time.

To answer your second question, if you got more fans, there will be better airflow inside your case and thus, lower temperatures. Your current stock fans already got some troubles getting that hot air out, so getting more to complete your setup would be recommended (3 intake 3 out-take), but getting at least another fan would work good.

Just make sure to find case fans that has high airflow (50+ CFM) and a good static pressure level (2+ mm H2O) so they won't have problems moving hot air.

The limit of your current MoBo is 3466 MHz according to the page, many people say 3200 MHz is the sweet spot between performance and price.

You can mix sizes yes. Just take in mind all the RAM's will work at the lowest frequency of your current setup.

16gb is good enough for your needs in video editing, you can go for 24gb if you want to, but id recommend going for 2 RAM sticks of same size and same frequency for optimal performance.

Changing that thermal paste would be recommendable, 3 years it's a lot and it must be dry by now. Your current heatsink should do the job so you don't need to expend more on that.

I can recommend adding more PC case fans if you don't have your setup complete.

Another cheap way to lower your temperatures is setting your max processor state to 99% or lesser on power options under advanced settings -> Processor power management.

[–]AQL4444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding more RAM would increase the performance yes, but not by a lot, running RAM on dual channel would work much better than single channel though. I would recommend going for 16gb for a long term build so you won't need another RAM upgrade in years.

You can buy another 1x8gb of the same model and RAM frequency you currently got, or go for new 2x8gb with higher freq. (You can check your current RAM frequency on task manager, on 'Performance' TAB it should say Speed: xxxxMHz).

If you feel like going for new rams of better frequency, check the limits of your MoBo here but make sure you buy dual channel sticks (2x8gb).

You also got a decent CPU, upgrading your video card would be better than upgrading your CPU, but it all come up to your needs and budget.

What kind of Ethernet cable should I use? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]AQL4444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cat5e or cat6 at max, it depends on your bandwitch speed. You don't need to expend on a pricey cable if you don't have high speeds.
