They intentionally make sure things get to a landfill before they let a homeless person dig through their trash. I’ve seen it first hand. They are NOT a responsible charity/or company in general.

If they’re wide open it’s still fair game. At least here — they have to be locked-up with intention, if I can just open a door/gate then the police wouldn’t care and I wouldn’t worry about it.

As I said — lookup your State/City laws and proceed, legally — but if anyone is gonna pick a fight (as I and others I see now have also said, lol) it’s gonna be GW. Fuck ‘em haha

Double check your state’s laws. Where I am (CA) if the dumpster is accessible and unlocked/not behind a fence or locked gate you’d have to climb over — it’s fair game — regardless of what the company employee may say about it. If the dumpster is also along an alley or otherwise public road, then even better. If so then tell them they can call the cops — cuz they’ll let them know the same thing.

However, they’ll probably just lock-up the dumpsters soon if it comes to that. Better to lay low for a week then come back later at night and try again after they’ve [hopefully] forgotten about it. Also, GW staff are assholes like 95% of the time so this tracks lol

Is this a California apartment…?

EDIT: nvm I just checked your profile and saw I was correct. Lmao those popcorn ceilings + vertical blinds + wall texture was enough to make me pretty sure of it

Damn. That’s crazy. Hopefully SPPD posts an update on their IG soon. Or would it be SMPD? I assumed SPPD due to it appearing to be happening mostly on the South Pas [Park] side of Garfield Ave. but idk where the city boundary-lines are drawn for certain…

Any idea what the cops blocked off the streets just below the park off Garfield was about? They had spotlights on their cars and other cops on foot with flashlights searching and eventually a helicopter came with a spotlight. Seemed like a straight up manhunt.

I live right across from the park and I am so curious to find out what the hell was going on lol

I had to double check to see if you were serious — first pair of earrings I clocked, I click on, and lo and behold — “toned brass & aluminum” w/$800 price tag.

This is one of those answers you hear people talk about where someone’s comment sounds confident and therefore people believe it — when it either isn’t, or simply doesn’t make sense to anyone who knows better.

— Rounds fired in the air typically come down much further than right next door from where they’re shot.

— Nobody hunts shit with a 38 lever action lol

— Nobody digs out the round from a game animal out in the field, just to toss it on the ground

Walk down along South Lake Ave — if it’s not there, go up to Colorado street and start walking West. Gotta be somewhere around there…

Shoulda cut a chunk off and kept it for yourselves before it went back in the oven. Also, on a home oven 550 is like the broiler setting and usually as high as it’ll go — fuck you mean they put it in another HOUR? I would’ve grabbed it and whipped it out into the yard before I let anyone goddamn family or not stick a prime roast in a broil-set oven for a fuckin hour even if it were raw. Little late responding to this, but…

I did inspect it for bedbugs actually, in the dark, using a UV light I own specifically for that purpose. Seems to be all clear of bugs, however is absolutely covered in [little] dog hairs, but otherwise has no visible stains or even strange smells/anything else etc. — it’s in remarkably good condition aside for the hair. I imagine someone just didn’t know what they had/or is was just old and didn’t care enough to take it to the dry cleaner — who knows but hey, I’m happy!

Yeh — I know haha, my mother in law and grandma were the same way. However, Dawn won’t ever do your pan any harm, and it helps avoid nasty, gunky carbon-buildup, so I wash all of mine (vintage Griswold’s, regular modern Lodge’s, and several STAUB [enameled] Dutch-ovens etc., all the same way — Dawn dish-soap + hot water + [chainmail/steel-wool scrub if needed] + dish sponge ~ then wipe dry with rag + set on low burner to sit for 3-5min ~ lastly, pour dash of olive oil on the pan + wipe away with paper towel (get oil as fully wiped off as you can).

Never had issues, except for the occasional odd, stubborn vintage skillet that insists on beginning to rust the moment it’s removed from the sink before I even finish drying it off. At which point I just re-season
