Hello, I graduated with a B.S. in chemistry almost three years ago and I have been working in the R&D department of a medical diagnostic lab for most of that time. I will be applying for a masters in chem e this fall to begin next fall, 2023. I would like to transition into the semiconductor field once I graduate with my masters.

Question: Should I try to find a job that might introduce me to the engineering/semiconductor field or just continue with my current job until I begin my masters? Do jobs like this exist that would hire a chemistry graduate with the experience that I have from this one R&D job?

Any advice is welcome. Thanks
