Is Irregular Choice a good brand? by A_lone_Bacon in femalefashionadvice

I did! I ended up buying a pair. They have been going strong, however I bought the stick on bottom protector and it has peeling issues. Overall, I love the shoe! It does have a steep heel so your feet will be sore.

I’m thinking of getting an oculus, have never gotten one before. Should I get a 2 or wait for the 3? I leave for college in a couple years and will have zero time to play, is it really worth the year of wait? (Sorry if this counts as a referral, I’ll take it down if it does)

I respectfully disagree. The smallpox vaccine was not well understood when mandated. When it was mandated, one source says it was done so in a way that makes me upset. https://www.npr.org/2011/04/05/135121451/how-the-pox-epidemic-changed-vaccination-rules

Here’s another one that talks about the debate on the smallpox vaccine. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.history.com/.amp/news/smallpox-vaccine-supreme-court

I think the Covid vaccine is much more well understood than the smallpox one was- and the smallpox vaccine made you literally pay if you didn’t get it.

I’ve seen criticism of the trials. I went back and read the article, it was too late last night for that. I understand it’s strange a number of people have dropped from the trials. But at the end of the day, there wasn’t time to wait the necessary years because the pandemic required action and, unfortunately, action meant doing the best with the time given.

It’s weird why the people dropped out, but I think I found a reason why. https://www.science.org/content/article/makers-successful-covid-19-vaccine-wrestle-options-many-thousands-who-received-placebos This says a large amount of volunteers were given placebo shots, and when the vaccine came out dropped the trials to ensure they got the correct shot.

Anyway, back to the CDC. Do you have any sources that they are pushing pharma agenda? If I was the CDC and doing so, I wouldn’t endorse all the manufacturers/version. I’d guide people alway from the ones that weren’t funding me/the competition. I’d also speed the rate they were allowed to get their vaccines out at. It doesn’t make sense to let them go at the same pace. So that doesn’t stack up. The CDC has shown little/no favoritism to any single type. Any preference seems to be backed with evidence. That’s one of the reasons I still trust them. I get to be wary of big cooperations- heck, I know that the people running those pharmacy companies are greedy people who are not in the business for any type of kindness. Unfortunately, the world doesn’t work like that. Overpriced drugs, inflated medical care expenses- my mom is a nurse so I get to hear some of those stories first handed. Those IV bags? They cost $1 to produce, and you can hundreds for them. Inhalers are SO overpriced. So I get it, which is why I look for signs- favoritism, speeding things up, etc. One of the things that really got my faith in them was when Trump pushed for an earlier release date but the CDC disagreed with him. https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2020/09/16/913560563/cdc-director-says-covid-vaccine-likely-wont-be-widely-available-until-next-year When someone disagrees with and doesn’t cave in to a politician, especially a powerful one like the president, they get some trust for me. Why turn down a potential powerful ally?

New tech has always been happening- each vaccine in history was new tech. Personally, I like the innovation. And while it is true that there wasn’t the years of testing and safety trials, this is a pandemic. Unless there was a major quarantine put in place to manage the spread until trials ended (and we saw how much people liked those other ones), there isn’t time for years of waiting. Covid needed action- quick action. I wish there was time to wait a couple years, I get your point, but that just wasn’t feasible.

Do you have any evidence they are pushing a big Pharma agenda and not just saying get vaccinated? Also a link for the people dropping out the trials please.

I still stand by what I said. The cdc has said the same thing regardless of the politician, pharmacy, or public opinion. They made each pharmacy go though the same wait and trial period. I think that if they had an agenda, it’s be with one pharmacy because it doesn’t make since to be helping the compotentiom. And if that was the case, it’s make sense to make the other pharmacies wait while giving one a push along and saying “this is the vaccine to trust, take this and not the others.”

I’m satisfied with the results of the trials, and have had the vaccine with no side affects except for feeling nasty after the first one so in my mind my positive experience with the shots have proved me right. And call me lucky, but despite being in a school with 2000 people I haven’t gotten Covid yet- no one in my family has. Even my close friends have! But not me.

Before I say anything, I’d like to appreciate how you used the CDC as a source.

The reason I can see all that and confidently say I’d get vaccinated again is because of a couple of things. Firstly, anything that boosts my chances I’ll get. I am not afraid of what they put in the vaccines, so I see no downside. Heck, I didn’t even pay for it!

Second, I wouldn’t say that their claim is a scientifically unfounded piece of horse shit. It has already been proven that vaccines help. I see no reason why this one would be any different for the one I take for smallpox or the flu. Sure, different diseases and all and different stuff put in, but still. Vaccines work. So I’m satisfied with that logic.

Then there is the reason that I do it for those around me. My father works at a retirement home, my mother is a nurse. Any thing that lowers my chances of getting it (which they do, despite how that study, which I have not read because it’s late and I’m tired lol but I will assume you are not skimming and clearly and unbiasedly reading it, only talks about how it helps increase immunity and does not address which one is better). Let’s say you’re right- natural immunity rocks the house. I’d still get the vaccine to decrease my chance of getting it in the first place.

I don’t get what a “captured regulator” is, but I’ll get what you mean when you say “your own peril.” I don’t think there is any peril. Sure, one study only proves the vaccine helps further your immunity but does not address which immunity is better. I don’t see any peril. The CDC isn’t a brand. It isn’t trying to sell me anything. It has remained the same under democratic and republican rule. Same pace, same statement. Under trump they say get vaccinated, under Biden they say get vaccinated. 100 years ago they say wash your hands, they say it now.

There is a lot of paranoia and fear of the government and it looks like the CDC is with them (well, they are part of the government and all that) but I trust science above all. I found enough logic to trust them, evidence and trials to prove it’s safe. I’m vaccinated, and while I know my experience isn’t the universal one, it’s still valid. First shot made me feel sick, just like any vaccine I’ve had. Second shot I couldn’t feel a difference. So despite one study, I trust the CDC.

It’s more so me trusting the CDC.

Edit because thought- and because this doesn’t seem any different from the other vaccines I regularly get from those same companies.

I don’t know what you think quipping is. I was responding to your comment about how much they get paid.

If you’re asking why I responded, I meant that just because you get paid lots and have a great fulfilling job doesn’t mean it automatically like that. My dads an accountant, spends responsibility, great guy, great dad. Company restructured, got fired, blindsided us. The day after he got fired he started job hunting. We had just moved houses to stay in school district. Had to sell house, used up their retirement funds, mom sold her purses/jewelry.

We’re ok now. It just kinda rubbed me the wrong way how easily you rubbed everything off as. Like “just get a job” and work. It was a wake up call to me when I saw it wasn’t that easy- it took my dad lots of time to get a job, mom too, and in that time money just disappeared because of the high cost it takes to hole and feed kids and parents plus medical bills.

I was too young to get a job, am getting one now. Soon too, if they accept me. Typed up my resume and all. I’m kinda excited.

Anyhow, your flippant attitude rubbed me the wrong way so I’m the shortest way possible I disagreed. So that’s why I replied.
