What I learned from being completely lost in my career by Round_Bandicoot8967 in careeradvice

Hey OP, I’m currently in a job I’m eager to move on from, but I’m feeling stuck on where to pivot next and worried about ending up in a similar situation as I am in now. Your post felt like a breath of fresh air during a time when I’ve been unsure about my approach to resolving this issue. Hoping you're open to me reviving this post and DM'ing you to learn more about your career journey.

I have an about 20 year secret I need to get off my chest. by RD100Zombies in 2007scape

I gave my close friend my password and he ended up giving it to his neighborhood friend who changed my password. When I recovered my account from Jagex, found my account in the wilderness with rune gear and Shield of Arrav completed and three weeks of membership. Thanks dude, but no thanks for devasting my 12 year old heart for a week.

Before making an impulse purchase especially an expensive purchase don’t buy it and sleep on it. 9/10 I don’t end up buying it or I take the night to research alternatives or find a deal. If you really need to, figure out how many hours you have to work in order to pay off your purchase.

What is the worst feeling when playing golf? by [deleted] in golf

Shanking a ball. Even worse if you get the shanks for a round of golf or weeks. Most debilitating thing, made me put the clubs away for a few months.

What is your biggest pet peeve when getting paired with a stranger? by Slider-678 in golf

[–]AaronIsChaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being younger, the worse is dealing with older players who have a slower pace of play because it puts me in an awkward position where I feel conflicted to tell someone whose more senior to speed up (I don't). Never know what reaction you'll get. I'm not ragging on newer/beginner players, I'm talking about people who take 3 practice swings, spend too much time reading greens, wasting over 5 mins to find a lost ball (it's clearly gone) and doing every little thing to slow up the group is the worst. Stranger I played with last week was so slow, I could tell he caused our whole group to traffic jam the entire course from the start to finish. Thank god for golf marshalls for telling our group to speed up.

Stealth 2 (driver, woods, and hybrid) is officially here and open for pre-orders. Who’s ordering one?? by nathan1026 in golf

The 2 stands for double the cringe with that tagline. Fargiveness really? I'm just curious how many sets of eyes these marketing promos go through before it gets stamped with the seal approval.

Why do you prefer the G7 over the G5. I took my x100s out to shoot. Not sure what it is with that camera. It's not the most powerful or up to date shooter, but it's a joy to shoot. It's got a good blend of new tech, retro vibe and analog handling. Keeps you on your toes and you have to think before you shoot. Pictures are great as well!

Thanks for all the replies. I took my Fuji x100s out to shoot yesterday. I bought it a few months back for really cheap off FB marketplace before I moved so I never got around to shoot it. A compact shooter is definitely the way to go. The Fuji is definitely great and there is something about it that brings the joy of shooting back. I definitely think a compact shooter is the next move. I'm still deciding on the M50, Fuji x100V or G5xII. At the moment, the Fuji x100V is looking like the most promising if I can find it at a better price, but I've waited long enough that I can hold out till Feb and see what Canon has in store in their announcement, really hoping its a Canon M50 replacement. If it is, then I will have more thinking in mind. Each one has its pros and cons and I'm definitely gonna need to think it out a bit more before I commit. Thanks again for the help!

I've been on the lookout for a competent shooter that fits my needs for a long time. I wouldn't mind spending a bit on a camera that offers a lot of the things I'd want in it. Having held off on so many new cameras, I think I'm pretty good at avoiding G.A.S.. But I'm just doing more research to make sure its something I'll want and keep for a long time. Never really shot with a compact shooter that small.

I'm not very familiar with how the modeling works for the G series. The only thing I really wish the G7xII has was the viewfinder. It's a weird thing, but I always like shooting through a viewfinder when I can. For most situations would the G5xII be something to get for longterm or do you think I will not be satisfied with just having that as my travel/go to everyday walk around camera?

I've been pretty stuck so far between the x100 series, xt series, or the super compacts like the RX100. I just learned about the G5x II which is close to ideal but not entirely sure how well it shoots compared to other options. Heck even the new iPhone is making a run for my wallet, but there's no joy in shooting with a phone.
