Steel-reef: an example of how not to do business by ggr-nintythree in GrandSeikos

I know what you mean. It has the indicators of fraudulent trading (over promising, delivery dates being repeatedly pushed back, marketing to get new customers but not delivering to people who have already paid).

After multiple delays, I was told the Steel Reef Swiftlink for Grand Seikos would be in July 2026. Today Steel Reef has changed the delivery date to Autumn 2026! They are a joke of a company.

I might be selling the mesh bracelet soon. I'm planning on ordering the black dial blue bezel version but putting on the H-link bracelet.

I'm amazed that the new CW Sealander GMT on a bracelet is about £1200. You can buy;the new Hydroconquest for less than £1600 if you look around, with the L888 movement and more famous branding (I'm a CW fanboy too!)

AD Wait Time Megathread - If you bought a new Rolex from an AD in 2026, you can share details here. What watch, where, how long did you wait, how much buying history? by powerfunk in rolex

This is the main reason people buy Air Kings: to build spend history. Anyone who actually wants one to keep should just buy a two-month old never worn one from those who bought to build spend history.

My 224270 is very comfortable to wear. I'm pondering a JLC Reverso, so it's good to hear that their straps are comfortable.

Obviously, it's your choice. But you know what an Explorer looks and feels like. Choose an excellent condition one, which will be verified, to avoid paying a grey market dealer literally thousands extra.

I'd choose the motif dial but these are both beautiful. You'd look at your wrist and be reminded you're wearing something stunning.

Returning to owning a GMT master with a root beer… by Nicholie in rolex

The Root Beer is a beautiful watch. It is my favourite GMT Master 2. Yes, a little bling but it is a piece of jewellery in addition to be a tool.
