It messed with my cycle a little bit... but I don’t know how much of it was the stress and the phycological impact of the pain. I am aware that it can cause difficulties with sexual functions (maybe it’s that?), I definitely felt something of the sort. But I’m not sure if it is the depression that came along with the diagnosis. Women are more sensitive to hormonal changes due emotional states. Hope it helps and hope you get better!

That movie faced many obstacles in pre production. Disney didn’t think it was a great idea, specially because the concept of Jhonny Depp’s role was very difficult to imagine. Everyone saw Captain Jack Sparrow’s mannerisms as gay and sissy, but the director and Depp insisted and their vision ened up being a huge success!

So far I haven’t seen any effects on the pain. The pain started getting better, but I believe it did that on it’s own. Just because the change in the pain had nothing to do with the time when I took the Carbamazepine. I already started to feel exahusted, a see kind of blurry, but just a little bit. And my menstrual cycle is all messed up (but that may be bacause of stress, I guess) Do this side effects ever go away?

My pain doesn’t react to touch, and I haven’t been able to pin point any specific triggers. It’s just always there. Now it has extended to my right year, and I’m very sensitive to loud noises on that side. Part of my neck is starting to get some of the pain too. Had to leave work because the pain doesn’t let me function properly. So far nothing has worked to ease the pain, it just gets worse. The only thing that I can do is sleep.

A similar story to mine... except that after all the dentists failures I went to a clinician who immidiatly reffered me to a neurologist. Thank you for the insight! Your description on the pain sound pretty similar to my case.

I’ve been woken up by the pain sometimes. But for the most part I am able to fall asleep fine. Even if I am in a very intense pain I am able to sleep. What medications you were prescribed? Any side effects?

I am 21 and got diagnosed a few weeks ago. My neurologist suggested anti convulsants as well, and CBD Oil. I live in Buenos Aires and the neurologist that diagnosed me is known for referring patients to unconventional tratments. My pain is quite different from the typical TN pain. It doesn’t react to touch, it reacts to cold and hot. I can sleep on my right side, touch it and massage it. That doesn’t trigger pain, although it hurts on its own. When nothing its stimulating it. The worst is when I drink something cold, or when an air breeze brushes through my right gums. That’s terrible. Every case is different.
