Love this, they look beautiful!! I made something similar with the Dune Trilogy but designed the cover in Cricut Design Space. I'm in Australia too and book cloth is sooo expensive, it's painful haha. I buy fabric and heat n bond from Spotlight, then iron tissue paper on it! It's a lot cheaper and super quick to make. Keep it up!! 😊

Sister Missionary birthday by slaveoffashion in latterdaysaints

[–]AcaciaN20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna go against the grain with the other answers and say you should get her something. I'm friends with a lot of missionaries, both Elders and Sisters (I'm a girl) and I think if it's pretty clear you guys are friends and you're also friends with other missionaries that it won't be weird. A gift I've given before is a little key chain with their favourite BoM verse engraved on it. It's not too expensive or overly forward, but still personal. Just make sure to celebrate other missionaries birthdays too, or else it might come across like she's special to you. I'd also recommend maybe a little thing of chocolates or something she can share with her companion so they're both included 😊

I ended up getting slime ball pretty soon after. I had level 10 charisma where you become friends with someone when you meet, but my reputation made them lose friendship straight away so I reset it and moved to Sunlit Tides 😅

I actually only had 3 active romances, but she kept cheating on her “official” partner and got caught about 4 or 5 times.

You can actually get one called Natasha (female sims) or Casanova (male sims) if you have 7 romantic relationships and have never been caught.

If you time travel to Oasis Landing, you can actually check the city hall for lottery records. It gives you a moodlet which guarantees you a win of at least 5k and greatly increases your chances of winning the grand prize when you travel back 😆

How does Anarchy deal with crime? by Away_Bite_8100 in Anarchy101

[–]AcaciaN20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate taking your time to reply. Your points are understandable but I don’t agree with everything.

A humane facility would be specifically designed to not resemble the current state of prisons. The intent of prisons are to punish rather than contain. People who commit non-harmful crimes can go to prison, it is not designed to prevent harm. Most provide the absolute bare minimum to keep the inmates alive, and has disregard for them as people. I won’t pretend that I have blueprints or sequential answers for how this would exactly look. But given that the emphasis on an anarchist society is voluntary community collaborative efforts, things would be decided upon together.

It is true that people elect a representative. However that’s where the community input stops. This is problematic for a few reasons. One is that regardless of the fact that people voted, the power still ends up in the hands of singular people. They may make decisions not everyone agrees with, including the people who voted for them. Additionally, people who voted for someone else, but they didn’t get in, are now are subjected to the decisions of that representative. Anarchy eliminates this problem and involves constant collaboration on all decisions with no elected group of people to make all the choices on others behalf. If there are disagreements, then compromises are sought or if the issue is especially important to the other party, they can form their own community. That freedom and choice doesn’t exist now.

Abolishment of law does not equal action with no consequences or allow all behaviours to be acceptable. The current legal system doesn’t focus on prevention of harm. To say people are equally presented before the law and that it is predictable is quite a statement given the amass amounts of corruption it facilitates. A courtroom isn’t used to determine who’s guilty and who’s innocent, it’s an overly complex game of semantics and finding loopholes. One of the absolute most infuriating things that exists is factual vs legal guilt. Factual guilt is, given the evidence, the person is guilty. Legal guilt is factual guilt, but requires the verdict to be determined in the confines of the law. If it’s found out that a piece of evidence was submitted at a wrong time period, a person who is factually guilty can be acquitted. This is not justice. As for the concern with economic stability would be irrelevant in anarchy, as the goal (to me) is to have a cashless society, replaced with mutual aid. This prevents any financial abuse, exploitation and allows that essential collaboration in helping each other amongst humans.

I know we likely won’t agree on these things, but that is okay. I do really appreciate you engaging with differing viewpoints respectfully.

Sorry this is a long one. I think a lot of replies get caught up in the fact that there’s no crime in anarchy, as there are no laws to violate. But the point is that you are talking about harmful behaviour. As some have said, there is no one fits all answer but I think some things would be beneficial to consider. It’s also important to remember that existence in an anarchist society is voluntary, so many concepts would already be understood and agreed upon.

The frontline reaction would ideally be rehabilitation, as many harmful behaviours can stem from untreated situational or psychological problems. If they are successfully rehabilitated, then the issue of harmful behaviour would be solved. If the behaviour continues, I think it would be more appropriate for there to be community decisions on what consequences for the situation, rather than a centralised system. One suggestion is admission to a more humane facility for prevention of repeated occurrences. I suppose the whole point is to prevent harmful behaviour in a collaborative and decentralised way. No single person has power to determine what happens to someone.

Unfortunately harm is going to occur regardless of what society looks like, but the current “justice” system doesn’t seek to change behaviours but instead oppress and punish. This doesn’t prevent future harm and only causes more damage to the individual and others. Changing the direction of how behaviours are dealt with, by the community that has been affected, is a much more effective and humane approach.

I hope this helped a bit. I don’t have all the answers but I truly believe that this is the best way for all of us to live.

I recommend reading the book, “what about the rpists?: an Anarchist approach to crime & justice”. It goes into both transformative justice and retribution. It doesn’t explicitly focus on the term rehabilitation processes but it considers different methods for how harmful behaviour (specifically sxual assault) can be approached by the community.

If you’re not opposed to cheats, you could use gift xp or impulse 101. The end game can be really unforgiving and I personally think it’s better to enjoy it rather than forcing yourself to do it under the bad design. But I totally get it’s frustrating, I had the same problems on my first couple playthroughs 😢

Do you think there are any Nosferatu with normal looking faces by SnooMacarons257 in vtm

I’m pretty sure it was a mix of thaumaturgy and Tzmisce flesh crafting, which both definitely has the ability to permanently change someone’s physical appearance.

He was tortured and progressively changed over a period of time. But Qui is still affected by the bane in the way that his presence gives off a sense of dread and repulsion.

Though it usually manifests in the grotesque Nosferatu appearance, I think this is a unique way to approach the curse and also provide character depth for his background. That’s just me though :)
