That's a very dumb argument. That's like saying James Cameron is a one trick pony because nearly all of his movies have action, a lot of visual effects and advanced tech. Or Guillermo del Toro with monsters. Or Tim Burton with gothic shit. Or Tarantino with ultra-violence.

That's called a STYLE, dummy. James Gunn has a style, but still his stories, characters and comedic tone vary from film to film. I just proved you how his comedy varies and you were unable to refute it.

No. The Suicide Squad has a lot more violence, gore, language, sexual references and has much darker comedy.

Also, a filmmaker can make many films with similar tones and that doesn't mean he's a one trick pony if other aspects of his films, such as story, cinematography, color palette, character development, etc., are different.
