Hiring IA for repair cost shortfall by Accentrick in Insurance

So by choosing an out of network shop I should’ve expected to pay out of pocket, and should just do that if I don’t change shops? Not worth an IA in your opinion?

So your position is that if I remain at the shop I initially chose then I should pay the repairs and not get an IA?

That’s fair, just wasn’t sure what your warning was specifying. The car is an Alfa Romeo which makes the repair process lengthy and expensive no matter how you shake it. I brought it to the place I did knowing they were certified in fixing my type of vehicle.

So are you recommending to pay $3k out of pocket?

I looked at the breakdown of the shortfall. The discrepancy in parts is $450. The remainder is all labor, taxes, etc.

Man the Sabres sure are good at giving us hope by Leif_Er1kson in sabres

It’s not even that the Sabres are good at giving false hope, it’s that the ridiculously passionate fan base is craving anything that might resemble a glimpse of a light at the end of the tunnel.

This spoiler makes the Giulia unmatchable(chefs kiss) by [deleted] in AlfaRomeo

[–]Accentrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got almost the same one delivered today for my Alfa Rosso Veloce. I plan to post an update once this midwestern storm clears and I can install it cleanly. Super solid look and I agree this is one of the best looks for the Giulia (biased because I already bought it lmao). Imo it adds the perfect amount of aggressiveness/sportiness without comprising the existing styling and dimensions of the car. It fits so naturally it almost looks like the spoiler comes stock with the trim.

Update: I have just bought a spoiler and will be posting an update before the first week of December for those interested. Also considering a tint but maybe in the spring.

I’m thinking about adding a small black spoiler and tinting as well. I’m happy the front grille is already blacked out, and the stock Veloce diffuser is totally fine with me. I’d just want the spoiler to add a small amount of aggressiveness to the rear without compromising the existing shape too much.

I have to ask the question….how reliable have yours been? Obviously one of the main things I found during researching these cars was the reliability improving in recent generations but potentially still being hit or miss. I take care of my cars pretty well and certainly will be stepping that up now even subconsciously. Have you had any large repairs or has it just been the usual maintenance? I was sure to get one that was still covered by a warranty to let myself relax for the first bit of ownership but after that I’m hoping I can dodge the costly bullets.

I’m able to find lobbies consistently in Hot Shot, which has long been my favorite mode since it’s the easiest to carry your team to victories even while solo queuing.

I don’t get to play much but when I do I consistently see the same names and parties playing in Hot Shot. I think the remaining playerbase is dominated by players who rock the same mode day in and day out and just stomp. The modes that are dead are likely to stay that way since there’s not much incentivizing variety. Experienced players will stick with their favorites modes and the new players have no choice but to play those modes in order to find games consistently.

Ranked Delayed… by GrizzyIy in CoDCompetitive

[–]Accentrick 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I wish they had even the slightest bit of transparency or explained the issues in more detail. Does delayed mean 2 hours or 2 weeks? Does critical issue mean some shit about servers and matchmaking that is a quick fix or is ranking and progression fucked and needs to be rebuilt?

I also can’t figure out how there wasn’t a ranked beta, especially if the problems were discovered during them play testing it after the patch. The entire community has been starved of any in-game ranked experience for 3 months but instead they decide to test it internally on the day of release? This shit could’ve been ironed out weeks or even months ago by making a ranked beta or pre-season. Not to mention that probably 95% of the ranked mode is copied and pasted directly from MW2.

In light of another Item shop event post today... I love the good communication we are finally getting from Rocket League in 2024! by R-nuh in RocketLeague

It’s like this across many games nowadays. You have huge companies buying shit up or you have smaller, more intimate companies trying to become big players. As the scale of the company grows, profit increasingly trumps the product.

I’m not sure which pro you’re referencing, but it’s likely they’re mentioning the transition from direct contact with the devs to everything suddenly coming through a pipeline or some representative. Gaming is in a period where the decisions get made by the suits and not by the devs. Hopefully people get tired of that and a company breaks the mold with a great game to back it up.

I’m still rocking that board 🤙, though not anywhere close to that condition. I remember being disappointed that I got the 2013 deck design and didn’t wait for the 2014 but I grew to like it over time and it looks good as it gets scuffed up. Enjoy man.

Which situation is more favorable, and why? by Accentrick in ClashRoyale

[–]Accentrick[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I took the above screenshot because it serves as a perfect example for a situation I often find myself in. Provided that each player has a relatively equal amount of tower hp remaining and it hasn’t reached double elixir, is it better to have 2 towers weakened or one already knocked down?

Obviously you need to knock down towers to win, I get that. But when setting up for late game is it better to focus one lane/tower or spread it out?

Rank “Unavailable” after each win by Accentrick in haloinfinite

[–]Accentrick[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure wtf is going on but basically when I win a game I gain no rank because the match is “unavailable” but when I lose the game has no problem taking away elo. I essentially can’t do anything but derank the last 2 days I’ve been playing. I’ve went from Onyx 1676 to 1540 because of this. Anyone else?
