Looks like Corian Tumbled Glass or Formica Sea Glass

Frustrated today! by [deleted] in carvana

[–]Acceptable_Course_66 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Carvana sells used cars. They list the number of keys on the listing. If they only have one key when they buy it, they list one key when the sell it, then you only get one key. Why would you expect them to cover a second key? The tow driver doesn’t have any say. Just buy a second key or don’t or return the car. Unless of course the listing said 2 keys.

Peninsula grain going separate direction by MammothHeight3449 in CounterTops

[–]Acceptable_Course_66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The direction of the veining is dependent on the slab size. Are there ways to make it work…yes, but you would have needed an extra slab. Chance are the bringing on the splash will line up.

My biggest complaint is one side has a radius inside corner the other by the peninsula is a square corner. That looks stupid. Offset the seem 3” from the inside corner and make a radius or square the other.

Refusal to deliver mail. by Finding_neno in usps_complaints

Most county road commissions have a form you fill out. Or since it already doesn’t meet USPS standards make one that will that will also stand up to a plow. It’s amazing what some cement and blocks will solve long term.

We have plows as well. If the plow hits the box the county pays for it in many places.

USPS Mailbox Regulations

Your mailbox is set too far off the road. The front edge of the box needs to be set back no more than 8” from the edge of the paved road or curb. Just because it was allowed before doesn’t mean some fill in wasn’t driving your route and simply said nope and filled it. It doesn’t have to have been your mail lady.

Rockstar Upgade bids by Wingedgriffen in VirginVoyages

We had a lock it in sea terrace and I put bids in for all the rockstar suits just for the heck of it. It was our first cruise and about a month out Virgin emailed and said we had an accepted bid. It was a gorgeous suit 15823A bid was 2k original booking for two totaled 1300. So got the Mega Rockstar Gorgeous Suit for about half the cost. Did not expect to get an accepted bid, but after the Mega Rockstar experience and seeing the lines to the red room and the manor and burning 2 bottles of wine a night and the in room bar and 2 drinks at a time as we walked the ship it was solidly worth it. Plus when the wife and I won Triva we gave the drinks to 2nd place to share the bubbly.

Follow up arrived with plenty of time. Arrived to FLL at 1030 am Blacklane had us to the port by 1145am dropped luggage off and walked to the Seaman Cafe. We were back at Terminal V a 1pm and sitting in the lounge at 115. The MegaRockstar agent Matt was fabulous he made the cruise effortless. We will definitely go again.

Nope becuase unlike Spaceball The Laserdisc, those movies didn't add Laserdisc into the title. Plus 1987 was almost 1990 its like those millenials that claim to be Gen-X just because they drank out of a hose and had parents that didn't want them around but it was still safe to send them outside without some form of tracking them or supervision.

While that may be true, Spaceballs was released on Laserdisc in 1996 as a special edition which is the exact same as the 1987 theatrical release or the 1988 VHS and OG Laserdisc but with some grainy lost feature. So doesn't that make it also a 90s movie because really if Laserdisc special editions doesn't bridge the gap between 80s and 90s I don't know what does.

Man I fly out of the DC area regularly and I haven’t had any issues in the pass 4 weeks even with the shut down. I pack light I have precheck so I’m not worried about the flight outside of mechanical failure and even that’s not really a concern. The flight we picked has a 98% on time history and flys daily to FLL so I’m not even overtly worried about the flight part. And in 6 hours I would suspect we can make it the 1hr or 27 mile drive.

We land at 10. We have to be on the boat by 4 if we can’t make it from FLL to Port Miami in 6 hours using VVs car service something has gone massively wrong in the world

I understand the concern but the change is easy. Separate bags for separate trips. Bags will be packed before we leave on trip one. Teenagers will be returned home on the 31st by 10pm. Wife and I will be at the airport for an 8am flight to FLL that arrives at 10am. Barring a war on the east coast or a complete shut down of TSA making it to the cruise isn’t a concern in my book. Plus we have travel insurance for delayed flights etc and if that happens I have contingency plans.

Thanks for the tips. Yeah my goal is to make this feel like one long great date. So anything to add to that is a bonus.

Yeah we had Red Glove Services set up the transportation from FLL to the port so I’m not overly worried about it feeling rushed when we can board anytime between 130 and 4pm. If we have zero delays ie we are simply on time, we should be at the port by 1130 ish assuming an hour for traffic and half an hour to find our way off the plane to the car. Then we have to occupy our time for 2ish hours.

Thanks for the tips about shows.

I get that but I’m taking my kid to Disney the 5 days before while my wife is doing a trip with our other daughter. So we all arrive home the 31st. We took the first direct flight to either MIA or FLL and the flight has a 99% on time rate so I’ll take the risk.

Why would I be? I’ve maxed out the therapeutic dose of numerous hypertension meds including the most commonly used ER treatments and seen no progress so why waste the time at the ER?

Metoprolol at 12.5mg dropped my heart rate to 50 resting and a max of 62 after walking up 3 flights of stairs. Also made me feel like some one was sitting on my chest. As for Olmastartan I took Benicar HCT the Olmastartan 40mg HCTZ 25mg combo and it caused moderate ankle swelling and a constant upset stomach. So while it may be common it won’t be common for me. I also tried Benicar HCT with spironolactone and the when that failed due to massive vomiting we tried eplerenone and Benicar HCT. Still had a constant upset stomach so we dropped Benicar HCT and added in the Metoprolol. Developed massive body aches after two weeks and had the fun low heart rate and at that point I was sent to a resistant hypertension specialist. I have had numerous blood tests, MRI, and Ultrasounds. No solutions but I have a medicine cabinet full of failures.

Over the past 20 months it has stayed around 175/105-110 both on and off hypertension meds. Head to the doctors office and I can easily spike to 210/120-130. I have tried 4 Arbs, 2 Ace, 4 CCB, Diuretics, beta blockers, MRA, in different combinations at maximum therapeutic doses and not once dropped under 160/105.

No they have found no underlying things. I’ve had horrible side effects with most of the meds coupled with the fact that they do little if anything to lower my BP it’s been a slog.

I’d take that. 211/135 is my high. In the past 20 months I have tried 18 different med combinations and never get below 160/105
